16. HALDI

The next function was haldi and Manik's family arrived to Nandini's place with a limited number of guests. The backyard was all set with yellow theme and Nandini and Manik were ready in yellow costumes.

Soon the rituals started. Haldi which was applied to Manik was applied to Nandini and procedure was going on till a guy of mid twenties, with 5'9 height entered.

All girls have only one expression seeing him 'Who the freak is he...!!!'

Manik's gang who were playing haldi holi saw everyone's expression and turned towards the source. Girls widened their eyes while boys narrowed seeing their reactions.

Meanwhile, the guy took a fistful of haldi made it into a shapeless ball and threw on Nandini's face who was already hiding her face as if she knew this would be coming.

Now all boys which means Manik, Cabir and Dhruv's expression was 'Who the hell is he...!!' 'What the f....!!!!'

Manik immediately stood to charge at him while Cabir stopped him and signalled him to wait.

Nandini wiped haldi from her face and glared that guy who started laughing seeing her expression. To everyone's surprise even she threw a handful of haldi at him and showed her tongue.

"What the hell is happening Cabir....!!!" Manik said gritting his teeth.

"Relax bro...wait...Mukthi...patha lagao koun hai yeh kamina..." Cabir said to Mukthi and she went towards him with Aliya.

"Hello Handsome.." Mukthi went near that guy and extended her hand and he, who ignored all the looks of girls, was startled seeing Mukthi.

"Hey....Abhimanyu.." He said and shook hands with her.

"Mukthi.." She said with a smile.

"You are...???" He asked and Aliya replied "Manik's friends"

"Ohh" He said and smiled.

"And you are...??" Cabir and Dhruv asked joining the conversation.

He narrowed his eyes and smiled while Cabir shook his hands introducing themselves.

"I'm..................Nandu's........friend..." He said and looked at their changing expressions. He chuckled to himself when they looked at each other.

"Excuse me.." He said and went to meet Shobhana who seemed so happy to see him.

"Arey yaar...How to tell this to Manik..." Everyone thought.

But before they could come and tell him, Shobhana asked Nandini to clean herself and change as haldi got over and Nyonika said the same to Manik. Both went inside the house while the elders were attending the guests at lunch.

Nandini was about to lock the door but Manik pushed and entered inside making her gasp in shock.

"Manik...Please jayiye...Koi dhekh lenge.." She said in worried tone while he just pinned her to wall and looked at her eyes with anger and frustration.

"Ma..Manik.." She stammered while he was lost seeing her scared eyes and shivering lips.

"We...need to get fresh.." She said slowly and he nodded slightly saying "Toh chalo.."

She widened her eyes in shock but he cared less and moved her to washroom and before she could say anything, he opened the shower.

She tried to move away but he held her firmly in her place and said "Stand still"

He moved his hand all over her face to clean the haldi, then on her neck and then back hugged her in the name of cleaning her back.

Water flown down cleaning them off from haldi and he turned her towards him and placed his lips on hers for smooth kiss to which she clutched his shirt tightly while he pressed her waist.

After few minutes, he realized that he has something to ask and made a stern face.

He pulled her towards him and pressed her against his chest and made her look at him holding her chin.

"Who was he..??" He asked and she made a little frown.

He switched off the shower and asked holding her waist tightly "Who was he with whom you were playing haldi..??"

"Wo.." She thought and was about to answer but there was a knock at the room door and it was Nyonika calling out her name.

"Jii...Maa ji...Abhi aayi..." She said from washroom and he instantly released her.

They came out of the washroom and he made sure that no one was around.

"I'll see you tonight...You better be ready with your answers.." He said in a strict tone and quickly pecked her lips and left to guest room to change.

Nandini was a little scared thinking about Manik's attitude and change of nature instinctively but consoled herself saying "You have to deal with him the entire life..No other go.."

Ignore mistakes.
