I stood next to my best friend smiling on as we watched my mate make her way up the aisle to us.
She looked stunning, and My wolf was filled with pride as he projected his want to have her walking toward us but I had to calm him down as we were infront of thousands of people right now, and this wasn't about us or our mate.
She took her position and the music shifted to the Bride's song. Everyone stood and we all watched as Alexia accompanied by her grandmother made the way toward us.
I couldn't help but sneak a peak at my mate, and also check on my friend, He was holding in his emotions, and I clapped him on the back, he smirked but never once took his eyes off of his own mate.
The ceremony offically started and I stood there and watched on just like everyone else...but I couldn't help but wonder what my own wedding to Raven would be like?
Would her father proudly walk her down the aisle, all smiles the way Alexia's grandmother had? Would her Mother and Brother Bryson attend...who would be my best man, my own brother or Royce, or maybe even Charles since we'd become good friends since I first got here.
I wondered if my Mom would cry, would Raven let Charlie be part of the wedding?
As I stood there lost in thought I smiled and pulled out of my daydreaming when everyone started clapping.
Royce and Alexia were kissing and that was the signal that the ceremony was over, They rushed down the aisle and I carefully took my mates hand into mine, I placed it in the crook of my arm and guided us down the aisle as well.
"You know Freckles...Your thoughts are very loud to me sometimes."
I blushed. "Did you see everything?' I asked more than a little embarrased.
She offered a small smile to comfort me, "I did...but I have to say...they were nice thoughts."
"I know we aren't there yet...I mean, I want to...someday of course, b-but" I sighed, I was fucking this all up. "I love you, and I do want to marry you one day, but I'm in no rush so please don't feel like you have to be."
I didn't want to confess that her own thoughts had also projected onto me days prior and she was worrying about us jumping into a marriage too fast.
"It's not that I'm worried about us rushing Freckles but more along the lines that we've never really talked about it...but for the record...I'm on the same page you are, I love you and want to mary you, one day...now, lets go and have our pictures taken before you spin me around the dance floor."
I was glad for my easy going little mate and followed her to join Royce and Alexia while the rest of the wedding goers were treated to a cocktail hour.
And after what felt like hours of being positioned this way and that, adding family members and taking some away we finally joined everyone for a drink before the reception.
Alexia had stolen my mate and Royce was tangled up in the ongoing line of well wishers.
I hadn't bothered going over to the bar because it was packed beyond belief and Surprisingly Roy joined me off to the side.
"Beer?" He offered.
"Thanks I said taking the familiar brown bottle.
He took a swig and chuckled, "It's not poisioned." He assured me.
I smirked and took my own drink, I decided to nurse it so I could enjoy myelf with my mate on the dance floor later.
"So we should be back in the states here pretty soon." I announced.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah...My brother's getting married, guess it's the season." I joked, "But since Jameson is now the new Alpha, We will need to see if the old alliance between this pack and his pack still stands and sign off with fresh signatures."
He nodded, "That's smart, and the it's going to be in Black Creek?"
I nodded, "Royce and I are going with the girls, but of course my Cousin Nat is also going...needless to say, Charles will also be going."
He turned to take a drink, but also so I wouldn't see how emotional he had turned.we both knew this was about his Mate, Charles' Sister Charlotte.
"Good...Tell your family congratulations from me, I have no doubts that Jameson will be both a good husband and Alpha."
I nodded.
"And his Beta?" He asked.
"For the time being Nat's brother stepped down to take on the Beta Role, this makes sure he can still help the pack and get Jameson settled in...but my brother will have to find someone before too long." I filled him in.
"And have you thought what you'd do if he asked you?"
"The contract I came up and signed off on with Royce ensures that I remain Beta of the Blood Dawn Pack until the day he steps down , Godess forbid something happens to him, or I die...so my brother can ask, but I'm contractually bound to this pack."
He nodded and we both took a drink.
"Plus Jameson would never ask me to become his Beta...He's always kind of thought of me as a fuck up." I admitted.
now I was the one who was trying to hide the sudden uprising of emotions. It's not exactly a secret that is fucking sucks when someone you look up to so much can't see past all your mistakes.
Not long after I was putting the mostly finished beer down as my Princess had rushed over, it was time for the reception. everyone entered and then together Ravena and I entered and walked over to the designated table Alexia had chosen for just us four to sit at.
I pulled out My Mate's chair and took my seat next to her before we watched Royce and Alexia walk in. We all clapped as they were announced as Mr and Mrs Royce Archer Highfield before they immediately moved into their first dance together.
I looked over at my mate and she was dabbing her eye's lightly. I smiled and took her hand in my own. I kissed the back of her hand and she gave me a sweet smile as her love projected onto me.
I mved my chair just a little closer to hers so I could wrap my arm around her as we watched two people we love so much celebrate their love for one another.
