"What's wrong Princess?" Ryland asked on our last night at the cabin.
I looked up at him, It was only us once more... Nat and Charles had only stayed that one day, and while shopping and making dinner with them was fun, "It flew by too fast." I admitted as I recalled the hikes through the forest, exploring playing cards on the floor in front of the fireplace, very intimate nights with my mate. "I should have taken the time to enjoy it all more."
He gave me a sad smile and kissed me, "You just aren't ready to go home yet."
I sighed, "I want to go back because I want to see my brother get married, and our miss our family...but I'm not ready to face your ex."
"She's my past." He said
"A big part of your past." I said feeling insecure, they had a lot of memories together.
"But my past none the less Raven my beautiful...and you are my mate, more so, my future..." He closed his eyes and sighed as he picked up on my worries. "Yes she and I have many memories and while some are good some are also really bad, when I was with her I was someone else entirely..."
"I think just knowing she'll be there single and still possibly wanting you...I never knew I could be so jealous."
"I'm sorry you feel like you have to be jealous, i pick you and always will pick you over every single person in th ewhole world as my everything." He said before kising me.
I looked at him and reached out to caress his face, my thumb trailing over his freckled cheekbones, I smiled at him softly, "I love you, and I trust you...but I don't think my wolf will be at ease until I know she's gone."
"That's fair," he said as he finally resigned to lie down next to me, "I'll make sure she knows her stay shouldn't be an extended one."
I shook my head, "No...I can do that." I said before I cuddled into his chest, "I should at the very least introduce myself to her."
He kissed the top of my head and sighed, "I wished you would choose to just stay away from her for my own sanity...but I also know I won't stop you." He said before wrapping his arms around me, "Now I just want to spend my last night here with my mate not talking about my ex but with my mate loving on me."
"Would you be mad if I said I wasn't in the mood?" I asked a little nervously.
"Absolutely not, I"m happy so long as we are just like this, with you in my arms and us talking."
"Thank you." I sighed.
"So there's actually something I wanted to talk to you about...well ask you really."
I could feel his own nervousness now. "What's up Freckles?"
He smirked, "Um...so I know we have just gone throught the wringer with all this wedding stuff here with your brother."
I tried to remain calm but even my wolf was wondering if our mate was about to propose to us? I mean would it be so farfetched, we are mates...but we're really young, and we haven't been together very long. But I do love him, and he's the only guy I'll ever love and be with...
"So I'v ebeen meaning to ask you for a while now but it always seemed like a weird segway I guess..." He chuckled a little nervously, "Sorry I've never really done this."
"I-it's okay." I tried to reassure the both of us.
"Well, would you like to meet my family?" he finally asked, I kinda just looked at him to see if he was being serious right now. "I know it's kinda cheesy but My families never really formally met you and they all know you're my mate, and my brother asked me to be his best man for his wedding..."
"Really?" I asked excited now.
"Yeah...and I was kinda hoping you'd be my date to that wedding as well...but I figured we could take off a little earier than the wedding so you could get to know them...Iknow my Mom's dying to meet you."
I smiled. "I'd love too...honestly I thought you were going to propose." I admitted with a nervous chuckle before I got more comfortable against his chest once more. "I can' wait to meet your family Ryland Love." I said before I kissed his chest and closed my eyes to let sleep take over.

RYLAND
I laid there with my Mate fast asleep on my chest, but I was wide awake.
I had so much on my mind now.
Of course I had been worried about Piper causing shit since she got here, of course I'd checked in with Royce since we got here. He had assured me the Piper had been pretty quiet and didn't seem angry or anything, said she only asked for me once and then dropped it.
But much like Raven, I too would feel so much better once I knew she was gone.
I was glad to know my mate wanted to meet my family too, My mom has been asking to meet her for sometime now, and when I spoke to my brother about having Charles come down he asked me to be his best man.
He assured me he'd be inviting Royce and Lexi, Nat and Charles and he wanted to meet Raven as well.
So of course we now all have to plan on going to that wedding like a couple of weeks after the wedding this weekened.
My head was filled with wedding talk and now my own mate was bringing up proposals... and I could even gage her reaction on me possibly proposing...was this something we was wanting already?
I stroked her hair and sighed, "I love you." I whispered before I kissed the top of her hair and closed my eyes to join her in sleep.
