Chapter One

I grab my purse and race out of the studio where The Ellen Show is filmed. I was eager to go home and seize my flower notebook that was abandoned on my nightstand and jot down ideas for my new album.

I stride across the pavement and head towards my car. I rapidly dig through my purse trying to find my keys which were a lot harder to find than I thought. I start to feel more and more unbalanced as I keep rummaging through my purse.

I was about to burst out but then I overheard quick footsteps getting closer to where I was. I felt a light tap on my shoulder and a familiar voice.

"I'm really sorry to bother you, Taylor. I saw how you were in a rush but I think these might belong to you,"

I turn around to see Zac out of breath and examining my face probably to make sure it was me, I did leave pretty quickly.

"Oh yes, thank you so much!" I beamed while letting out a smile.

I grabbed my keys from his hand that was stretched out in front of me. I gaze up at him and saw he was still breathless.

"I hope you didn't go through too much trouble to return my keys, this isn't the first time that it's happened. I'm really sorry," I apologized.

"Don't worry. I'm sure this has happened to everyone, including me," he joked trying to lighten the mood.

I let out a laugh and smiled as he slowly gazed up at me.

Before I could reply he says

"I hope you have a great evening, I'm sure you have something important to do at the moment,"

"Yeah..." I say back, not knowing what's going on.

He leans in for a hug and gives me a kiss on the cheek, me returning one, as friends of course. He walks away and I'm left there, thinking about the moment we just shared. I got in my car and sped home not waiting a second to write down ideas with a smile accidentally escaping my lips.
