Lauren's POV

"Dinah! Don't!" I squealed as she ran towards me with a bucket of cold ocean water.

Laughing, Dinah throws the water at me before taking off toward the water.

"Dinah!" I squealed, shaking the water out of my hair.

"Come and get me!" Dinah yelled back, making her way through the water until she is swimming.

I rolled my eyes, running my hand through my wet hair. I shook my head and sat down on the sand. "Make me!" I yelled back, taking my glasses off and drying them on my towel before putting them back on.

"I'll give you kisses!" She yelled back, a wide smile on her lips.

I shook my head, rolling my eyes. "I'm not coming in." I yelled.

Dinah whines and starts swimming back toward the shore, suddenly a loud alarm begins blaring along with someone yelling in Spanish.

"Fuera del agua! Hay un tiburón!"

"Dinah! Get out of the water!" I yelled, jumping to my feet and motioning for her to come back.

Dinah frowned and stopped swimming. "What? I can't hear you!" She yelled.

"There's a shark! Get out of the water!" I yelled louder.

The alarms continued to blare and people were rushing to get out of the water.

Dinah began swimming, but still seemed confused. "What are you saying!?"

"Get out of the water!" I yelled even louder, seeing the shark's dorsal fin.

I was beginning to panic, it was so close to her and she couldn't hear me over the sirens.

Dinah continued swimming, but she was so far from the shore.

There was a man not that much older than us swimming behind her. Suddenly, he disappeared under the water and I screamed.

Dinah turned around and stopped swimming before suddenly turning back around and swimming faster.

I screamed again when she suddenly disappeared under the water, just as a teen on a jet ski appeared reaching into the water.

"Dinah!" I yelled, running towards the water but I was grabbed by a lifeguard, who held my body against his. I struggled in his arms. "Dinah!" I repeated, tears streaming down my face.

I watched as the teen struggled for a few minutes before suddenly pulling Dinah out of the water, a speed boat appearing right beside him.

He passed Dinah to some people on the boat and turned his attention to finding the man.

Sitting back up, he shook his head and signaled to the boat.

The boat sped off followed by the jet ski.

I fell to the ground, tears streaming down my face.

The lifeguard let go of me and began ushering people away from the water, yelling in Spanish.

Suddenly the boat is pulling up toward the shore, followed by the teen on the jetski.

They began moving off the boat with Dinah in their arms and one of them was covered in blood.

The lifeguard yelled at the boy that came off the jet ski and pointed at me.

The teen came over to me and smiled sadly. "Hola, we have to take her to the hospital." He said.

"Can I-I go with her?" I sobbed, looking up at him. I was shaking and I couldn't slow my heart, it was racing so fast that I thought it would explode.
