Warning(s): SFW || nothing.

This was really cute, and I'm trying to jump back into writing, so here goes nothing. However, it's a little shorter than I would have liked. Also please remember, feedback and comments are always welcomed, but never required. Enjoy, lovelies. xx

"Would you hurry it up in there, Y/N? You're missing the whole show!" You heard your longest and best friend call from where he was seated on the couch in the living room. Giggling at yourself in the bathroom mirror as you took off your makeup, you nodded and yelled back.

"Calm down, G. I'll be there in a second." The mascara you had worn today was waterproof and taking it off was proving to be a pain the the ass, even with the makeup removing wipes you were using.

Your cable had gone out this morning, and a show that both you and Gerard were obsessed with was having it's weekly episode tonight. Last week left you both on quite the cliffhanger, and you couldn't possibly go another week waiting. So you showed up at his place and demanded that you both watch it, and suffer together. Which he had no qualms with - except the fact that you were taking six years to take off your makeup from the day. "Well it's already at the first commercial break. You missed the beginning." He stated like a child about the have a tantrum.

"Just explain it to me quick then."

So he did. In the five minute commercial break, Gerard broke down everything that had happened, all while you finished taking off your makeup. There was about ten seconds before the show started back up. In those ten seconds, you got G to laugh by your childlike entrance after you had removed all your makeup. You sprinted into the room and jumped onto the couch cushion, plopping down next to Gerard. "Quite the entrance, Y/N." He smiled at you. You thanked him and did a small bow, before shushing the boy and looking at the television.

The show continued on a bit, and you found yourself actually losing interest in it. Every few seconds you found yourself glancing over at Gerard and then smiling to yourself before glancing back at the show. Something particularly shocking happened, and you glanced at G to see his reaction, and he must've thought the same thing about wanting to see your reaction, because his shocked expression met your casual expression.

"How are you not freaking out? How are you just... sitting there? How do you not have some kind of shock plastered on your face?" He asked, quiet laughter slipping through the cracks in his words.

The laughter was like gold, spilling from his lips. It was so smooth and beautiful and it was worth more than you could have ever wanted. "I love you so fucking much." the words slipped past your words before you could even comprehend that you had said that. But he heard it. He heard every little word that had just come from between your lips. And immediately, his shocked expression went stone cold, and blank.

Fear settled in the pit of your stomach and you bit your lip. You did it - you ruined the only thing you gave a single shit about. Your friendship with Gerard was about to come to an end.

"Fuck, G - I... It's not like that,. I didn't. I mean. Fuck. I'm so sorry. It wasn't suppose to... I'll just go." You stated, stuttering more than you'd like to admit as you stood up and reached for your purse on the coffee table.

"Sit down, and shut up." There was something in his voice that made you listen to him. You obeyed like your life depended on it - dropping the purse back to where it was and sitting on the couch, waiting for the bomb to drop.

The silence was agonizing. It felt like you were tied up, waiting to be executed, and you heard the countdown, but it never got to zero. You never knew when it was coming. All you knew, was that it was. And the worst part of it all, was waiting around to hear it.

"I love you too."

You almost didn't hear it. "What?"

"I said, I love you too. I just, never expected you to feel it, or say it. Let alone say it first. Holy shit, Y/N, I love you." He stated, a smile growing on his lip as he grabbed your hand and pulled you close, on the couch, wrapping his arms around your body and hugging you tightly.

You almost laughed when he began to chuckle. It wasn't a laugh like you were making fun of anything, it was a nervous and confused laugh. both of you were beyond floored by what just happened, but you were glad it had.

"You know, this never would have happened if my cable hadn't gone out and I hadn't shown up here to watch..."

"Thank god for shitty television providers."
