I'm not really sure how this happened, but it did. I loved writing this. I have no clue why. It's before she met Tyler, so it's technically Jenna Black, not Joseph. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. xx

The winter wind nipped at the exposed flesh on your nose, and cheeks. Your scarf covered your neck and chin, but not all of your face. Your head was covered by a grey beanie, and your dark red pea coat covered most of your body. Your hands, though they were in grey mittens that matched your hat, were staying warm in the pockets of your coat as you walked down the street.

Chicago was definitely called the Windy City for a reason. The cold was starting to get to you so you slipped inside a nearby Starbucks, slightly disappointed that it wasn't a Dunkin Donuts. In all honesty, you were probably the only girl on the planet that wasn't obsessed with Starbucks coffee for the sake of shitty aesthetic.

As you stood in the line behind the counter to choose a drink, your phone started vibrating in your pocket, the ringtone slightly muffled by the sounds inside the cafe. Though it was muffled, you could still easily tell it was your girlfriend Jenna Black, probably calling to see when you'll be home.

With a small smile as you waited, and a clear of your throat, you swiped the 'accept call' button on your screen and brought the phone up to your ear. "Hey."

"Hey Y/N. It's getting dark out and it's cold and the news man is saying it's suppose to snow again tonight. When are you gonna be back?" She asked, cheerfully, yet there was slight worry in her voice.

As you approached the counter, you held the phone away from you for a second, ordering a grande hot chocolate with peppermint, and then returned the phone to your ear, holding it between your shoulder and ear as you got your wallet out and paid for your drink.

"Y/N?"

"Oh yeah, I'm so sorry. I was ordering a drink for the last few blocks home. I'm thirsty and needed a little heat."

A small giggle came from Jenna's side of the line as the barista passed you your cup. "When you get home, I'll have blankets and popcorn and 'The Notebook' ready and we'll cuddle and share some heat okay?"

"Sounds fantastic to me." You smiled back, taking a sip of the drink and leaving the cafe, back into the cold of the city.

"Okay. I'll hang up and see you soon hun." Jenna's cheery voice said through the line as you continued walking.

"Okay." And with that, the line went dead. You brought your cup back up to your lips and took another swig, letting the liquid warm you up. The snow started falling, just like Jenna had told you, and you smiled, looking at the city lights as you walked the last few blocks.

After letting yourself into the apartment, you took off your boots by the door. You set the cup on the floor for a second as you took off your gloves and stuffed them into the pocket of your coat, before hanging it up in the closet with your scarf too and then heading to the bedroom and taking off your hat, putting it with your other beanies in the closet. Your leggings and sweater were a fine comfy clothing choice for cuddling, so you grabbed your drink off the floor again and set it on the coffee table before cuddling into the blankets Jenna had laid out on the couch.

You heard the toilet flush from down the small hallway and then the door open and your blonde girlfriend walked into the room, fixing her own leggings and then peeking up to see you.

"Oh my gosh!" She squeaked, jumping slightly. "Hi baby. I didn't know you were back." She blushed, and tucked a stray bit of hair behind her ear as she approached you and peeled the blankets back slightly, slipping under the covers with you and grabbing the remote, pressing play on the movie that was on screen. As promised, it was in fact 'The Notebook.'

"I didn't mean to scare you." You mumbled, tucking your face into the crook of her neck and snuggling into her embrace as she moved and pulled you to lean against her on the couch.

"It's okay. But I believe I promised you some heat?" Jenna smiled down at you, causing you to nod as her arms wrapped around your body and tried to warm you up, keeping the blankets tight around the two of you.

A few hours later, you woke up and the movie's end credits were rolling, music playing behind them. The little bit of popcorn that was left had gone cold, and Jenna had fallen asleep as well, her arms still wrapped around you. You slipped out of her embrace, only long enough to lock the apartment, turn off the T.V. and DVD player, turn off the lights, and then crawl back into her arms under the covers. The apartment was cold, but as you curled back up, you realized that your girlfriend was like a mini heater. After pressing a light kiss to her cheek, you smiled.

"Goodnight Jenna."
