The next few days went by fairly normally, well if you call singing cringey songs in spandex normal and a bloody war going on, apart from that everything else was going smoothly.

Alice's therapy was going without the teen being a complete bitch.

Steve's talk with the colonel to let him be on the front lines was being rejected at the normal pace.
Peggy still had to deal with A-grade assholes.
It was all going smoothly.

Right now was a different story, Steve and Peggy were busy trying to wake the teenager up for an important "meeting" the trio had to head out to.

Alice was hell-bent on sleeping while the two adults knew they could not miss that meeting.

"Alice you can sleep in the car," Steve negotiated, "we won't even ask you to take a bath or change out of your clothes right now, you can do that once we reach there."

Alice mumbled something under her breath going back to sleep, "Why don't you just carry her to the car?" Peggy suggested, "She'll most likely sleep the whole way there and we will be there by breakfast, so she won't be on an empty stomach for too long."

Steve sighed nodding, "Okay," he moved forward, somehow managing to pick up the teen on his back he moved out of the dorm towards the car that was parked outside, carefully settling her inside the cab with Peggy's help, and the trio were out of the base in the next fifteen minutes for their meeting.

_______________

"Alice you have to wake up now," Peggy shook the teen, who grumbled but slowly agreed opening her eyes, she sighed, "Why?"

"Because we're here."

"Where?"

Alice slowly opened her eyes, straightening up in her seat she groaned as her shoulder blades ached because of the uncomfortable seats, she blinked to open her eyes, sleep evident in them.

Gasping Alice jumped out of the cab running towards the fence gate, "careful!" Steve called out from the back of the cab where he was taking out the bags.

Alice was deaf to what he said as she knocked on the door of the house, impatiently turning the knob, exclaiming happily when the knob turned opening the door.

"Easy, speedy."

Alice ran forward towards the owner of the voice, tackling the owner in a tight hug, "Wanda!"

Wanda Maximoff-Rogers, the adopted middle child of the Rogers family chuckled hugging back her younger sister, she'd missed her when she had stubbornly gone to the army base to be used as a lab rat just so Steve could have a shot at being in the army, countless fights had occurred even as they boarded the train, they didn't part on the right basis then but Wanda was willing to overlook her younger sister's stubbornness and the underage enlistment of the army if that meant she'd still have her sister.

"I missed you," Alice whispered resting her head on Wanda's shoulder she tightened her grip on her shoulders, "I missed you too," Wanda rubbed the teen's back keeping her wrapped in her arms for a few more moments before letting go.

"You're taller," Wanda said taking in her sister's appearance which had changed in the past two years, some had to do with the experiment other was her going through puberty.

Alice smiled, "I'm not the shortest anymore," she looked around for the said 'shorter' around the house, "Where's Nat?"

"She went out to the bakery," Wanda answered just as Peggy walked inside the house, smiling the girls embraced each other, "she'll be back in a few."

"How're you?" Peggy asked Wanda as Alice made her way towards the kitchen to find something to snack on, "getting through, I just hope they're okay."

"They're strong, they'll make it back okay," Peggy assured Wanda rubbing her arm before moving to the kitchen just as Steve walked inside dragging luggage with him.
