Hoseok picked at the instant ramen he was eating. He was currently sitting on the floor of his room with Ye Minsu and Kye Yoonmi.
"What's up?" asked Minsu, clapping a hand on Hoseok's shoulder.
"Nothing," said Hoseok. He quickly sat up straighter and plastered a fake smile on his face.
"Nothing my ass." Yoonmi placed down her bowl of ramen and looked at Hoseok sternly. She could tell something was up.
Normally, servants weren't allowed to hang out together in each other's rooms, but Minsu had managed to flirt his way into allowing the guard to let them hang out.
"Yoonmi!" Hoseok whined, "It's seriously nothing!"
"I know when your lying," said Minsu, pointing his chopsticks at Hoseok accusingly with a mouth full of ramen.
"Maybe we shouldn't push it," said Yoonmi. Hoseok smiled gratefully at her. "But, I do want you to answer one question for me," Hoseok's smile evaporated faster than water on a hot summer day. "Where did you go that time Prince Yoongi asked you to sweep up his office? I didn't see you until the next day. What happened?" She nudged him playfully.
Hoseok blushed bright red. He wasn't sure what he should tell them. He kinda wanted to keep it a secret. But he also felt that if he told someone, a weight would be lifted off his chest.
"Alright," he sighed. "Even though what happened is kind of the reason I look 'upset.'" Hoseok made little finger quotes at the word "upset."
He wasn't sure what his friends would think. Even though Minsu acted like he wasn't completely straight most of the time, he didn't know if they would accept him.
That's the problem with being gay or bisexual or pansexual or whatever. There would always be people who would shun you for it. His own father used to sometimes send him looks that were full of disgust and hatred. They made him want to crawl into a hole and never come out.
But he knew he would have to tell them sometime, and if they didn't accept him, they maybe they shouldn't be friends. It was as simple as that.
He took a deep breath and launched into the story.

Prince Yoongi sat on his bed, staring at one of his bedroom walls in intense concentration. He heard a knock at the door and tuned his head towards it.
"Come in," he said lazily. He really wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone right now, but he let the person come in anyway.
Hoseok walked in, closing the door behind him. Was it just Yoongi's imagination, or did his uniform shirt seem slightly tighter than he remembered?
Hoseok came and sat down on the bed next to Yoongi. "Hi," he said a little shyly, "I hope you don't mind me visiting you at this hour."
"I don't mind," said Yoongi, shaking his head. He truly didn't mind being in Hoseok's company. He was very easy to be around. He was really happy a lot of the time, and it rubbed of, honestly.
