Jungkook squirmed under the mess of blankets he was laying under. He registered that he was able to feel the sheets more than usual, simultaneously remembering his lack of clothing and the events from the night before. He flushed, recalling what they had done, the things Tae had said and made him feel. Jungkook squeezed his legs together at the mere thought of it.
Jungkook rolled over in his bed, searching for the brown-haired man who had made him feel things he had never felt the night before. He wanted to cuddle, and he missed the warmth of Taehyung's body pressed against his back. But he wasn't there.
Jungkook shot up in bed, his pink-and-brown hair sticking out like he had been through a tornado. The clothes that had previously been strewn all over the floor were gone, the suitcase that had been pushed onto the floor was gone, and Tae was gone.
Jungkook jumped up, grabbing his clothes from the night before, throwing them on carelessly, almost putting his shirt on his legs, and sprinting out of the guest room. He ran down the stairs two at a time, almost tripping as he prayed that Tae hadn't left yet.
He burst out the front doors of the castle, hitting Felix with one by accident. Jungkook spotted a brown haired man putting a suitcase into the back of a black car, a mask over his face. Jungkook spotted the black, green, and red colors of the suitcase, and how there was a little dent in the side.
"Taehyung!!"
The tall man looked up, spotting Jungkook running at him through the snow without shoes. The cold didn't seem to bother him though, the desperation in his eyes was infinitely more powerful.
"Kim-fucking-Taehyung!!!"
Jungkook skidded to a stop in front of him, barely breaking a sweat, his heart thudding violently.
"Where the hell do you think you're going?" Jungkook demanded.
"Aren't you cold?" Taehyung asked. It was -3 degrees Celsius out, and Jungkook wasn't even shivering.
"Answer my question," Jungkook barked.
Taehyung chuckled at Jungkook's angry face. He was too adorable to be taken seriously.
"Didn't I tell you that I had to leave today Kook?"
Jungkook's heart sank, and his face fell as well. "Oh," he said softly, "I f-forgot." He fumbled with his hands, embarrassment turning his cheeks a light pink.
Taehyung's eyes softened, Jungkook had gone from furious to sad in a couple seconds, and Taehyung hated seeing him sad.
"Hey, we can still see each other, right? You can always come and visit me."
Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, his big eyes full of unshed tears. "I want you to stay, Tae. Stay with me."
Taehyung smiled sadly, looking away from Jungkook's face so that he didn't start to cry as well. "You know that as much as I want to, I can't."
Jungkook sniffed, wiping his eyes, angry at himself for breaking down. He wanted to go back to the comfort of his own home and—wait.
"Taehyung," Jungkook blurted, "come home with me."
"What?" Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's shirt collar, pulling him closer. "Come back to Changdeokgung palace with me! I know my family won't mind because they've wanted me to court someone for the longest time, and I know that they'll love you! Especially my mom! I can even show you the secret garden in the—"
Jungkook's rambling was cut short as Taehyung rolled his dark eyes and leaned down, pressing his lips to Jungkook's.
"Sorry, I was rambling again wasn't I?" asked Jungkook as they pulled apart.
"It's fine," drawled Taehyung, waving off Jungkook's reply. All of a sudden, the younger shivered, wrapping his arms around himself in an attempt to keep warm. "Why did you run out without shoes you pabo?" Taehyung chuckled. "You're going to get sick."
Without another word, Taehyung picked Jungkook up, his arms linked under his butt, the younger's legs wrapping around his waist and his arms circling around Tae's neck. Jungkook giggled, placing a sweet kiss on Taehyung's forehead.
"Yo! Felix!" Taehyung called back towards the front of the palace at the butler, who's back was still throbbing painfully. "Could you get someone to pack up Jungkook's stuff and bring it to the car?"
"Of course, sir!" Felix yelled back, disappearing through the doors.
Taehyung looked up at Jungkook, a wide boxy smile on his face. "Let's warm you up in the car, huh? You can sit on my lap." he winked, causing Jungkook to giggle and place multiple sweet kisses all over his handsome face.
"I love you Taehyungie," Jungkook mumbled in between kisses.
"I love you too." Taehyung replied, puckering his lips so that Jungkook could kiss him on the lips.
Jungkook smiled his trademark bunny grin, his eyes crinkling up into crescents. He leaned his head down, connecting their foreheads. He was so happy he could burst right in Taehyung's arms. Jungkook moved his hands to Taehyung's cheeks, pecking his lips.
"Let's go home," Jungkook hummed.
Taehyung nodded, opening the door to the car one handed and placing Jungkook in the seat before climbing in and pulling him into his lap.
"I can't wait."
