A/N: I love Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the soundtrack sooo much.

Anywho, prepared to have your heart ripped from your body, cause this one is gonna be sad. Listen to that song to set the mood. It kept playing in my head while I was making this.

Jungkook couldn't stop crying.

No matter what he did, the tears kept falling down his red stained cheeks. Namjoon or Taehyung was always there beside him, hugging him, holding his hand, or humming quietly in his ear. Jungkook was so grateful for his fiance and his cousin, but the tears would not stop staining his face.

"Wake up baby, it's time to get ready."

Jungkook's sore and swollen eyes opened to Taehyung's beautiful face smiling sadly down at him. A smile that was being lit up by the sun's bright morning light.

It was too sunny out for a day like this.

Throughout the last three days, Tae had been trying his best to seem happy and positive for the royal family and the public alike. They all needed a light when all the others seemed to have gone out. But Jungkook knew he was just as upset, because he had heard Taehyung sobbing in their bathroom one night when he thought Jungkook was asleep.

Taehyung hadn't known Yoongi or the queen very well, but he had told Jungkook that he had met the servant that had gone missing, and they had formed an acquaintanceship. Jungkook knew that wasn't the only reason for his tears. This whole ordeal, along with seeing Jungkook sad had given Tae flashbacks to the time before he had met Jungkook.

Taehyung was always a happy kid. He had a good life, parents that were happily together and very well off money-wise. Even so, they didn't spoil him, and his mother was always around the house to entertain him. One night though, they decided to go and see a play in the city as a family.

That night, as they were going back to their car, someone yanked the then then-year old Tae into a dark alley and pointed a gun to his head. The man yelled at his family to "Give me the money, or I'll kill this brat! The boss has run out of patience!"

His father had quietly tried to tell the man to put the gun away, reassuring him that he would get him the money eventually, but he didn't have it all right now.

Before anyone could react, the gun had gone off. Tae had thought for one heart-stopping moment that he had been shot, but he was wrong. Right in front of him stood his mother—his beautiful mother—with a bullet hole right through her chest.

Tae had screamed out loud as she had fallen to the ground. His father tackled the man to the ground, causing the gun to accidentally go off and shoot him in the head.

The strange man had gotten up and hit Tae in the head with the back of the gun, knocking him out.

He had woken up in the hospital, only to find out that he was now an orphan. The happy kid that he had once been had been killed along with his parents, and he had been putting on a mask ever since. That is, until Jungkook had taken it off and made his life okay again.

Jungkook got out of bed and slowly, unfeelingly—almost robotically—put on his all-black suit.

He was sick and tired of wearing suits. The stiff fabric always made him want to rip it into a hundred pieces and throw it in the ocean.

Jungkook didn't shed a single tear as Taehyung led him down to the black car with little flags on the side mirrors waiting to take them to the graveyard. Namjoon was waiting for them inside, his back to them as he stared unblinkingly out the car window. Taehyung slipped into the middle seat to give Jungkook window access as well.

The car ride was awkward and silent until Taehyung reached and grabbed both boy's hands. Two pairs of dark brown eyes looked at him, Namjoon's red and swollen, and Jungkook's surprisingly dry.

"I know that the world seems like hell right now," Taehyung said, looking at each of them in turn. "I know exactly how it feels to lose someone important to you. It-it's like—"

"There's a hole in your chest," Namjoon said, voice monotone.

"Something constantly stuck in your throat. It's hard to breathe," Jungkook said softly.

Taehyung nodded, trying hard not to cry. "Exactly. What I'm trying to say is, even though all this sh-shit has happened, the three of us are here, and that's nearly as important as the people who are gone."

Jungkook swallowed thickly, and Namjoon wiped his eyes.

"I'm here for you guys, and you are here for each other, okay? I don't want you to feel alone. Because you aren't. Don't keep your sadness a secret, we can trust each other. I l-love you both, please don't forget."

Namjoon was touched. He expected Taehyung to be there mostly for Jungkook, but this boy was willing to take care of his feelings as well. Taehyung had such a beautiful, genuine personality. He deserved so much more than the shit world had given him.

Jungkook whimpered, hugging his fiance tightly. "I love you so much Tae."

Namjoon squeezed his soon-to-be brother in law's hand, smiling for the first time in three days. "I love you too Tae. We're here for you as well."

Taehyung grinned at the prince, wrapping his right arm around Jungkook and his left around Namjoon. The trio hugged tightly as the car stopped along with the rest of the procession. All of them got out, hands linked together, the weight of their sadness shared. They watched as the former Queen Dowager was lowered into her grave, leaning on one another for support.

Between the three of them, not a single tear was shed, because even though they were all sad and scared of what was happening, they had someone to hold them and be there for them—a greater feeling than being alone. They weren't scared, because they had each other

They could sad together.
