Dex swung his feet, the thick bottoms of his shoes making a noise as they hit the ground. Fitz bit the inside of his cheek as he approached the slightly younger elf.
"Hey."
Dex turned away.
"What's wrong?" Fitz asked sincerely.
"Your comment the other day... It didn't feel too good."
"What comment?"
"The one about my invention being junk. You never apologized."
"I was embarrassed. I'm sorry."
"Sophie and I broke up," Fitz smiled slightly.
"So?"
"So that means I'm single."
"... And?"
"And that means I can do this."
Fitz smirked before pressing his lips to Dex's.
