Dex awoke in the weirdest way he had in a while when the night after he started using a phone. He was sleeping peacefully, and then there was an intense guitar solo blasting in his ear.
Tam's voice came afterward as he answered the phone.
"Happy birthday!" Tam shouted, seeming to be the most energetic Dex had ever seen or heard the Shade since they had met.
"Thanks, but why so early? It's only seven A.M.?" Dex asked, confused.
"I'm taking you somewhere, text me when you're ready! I've already asked your mom and she was fine with it."
------TIME SKIP------
"Can I take the blindfold off now?"
"One minute... Now!" Tam took the cloth off of his boyfriend's eyes.
"You got tickets to a My Chemical Romance concert?" Dex was astonished.
"Yeah," Tam replied sheepishly.
Dex didn't reply, just pulled his boyfriend in for a passionate kiss.
