Ch. 22: I'm Just Fine

"MY FAMILY ISN'T DEAD!" Ariana screamed.

"What?" I said in confusion.

"THEY'RE ALIVE!"

"whoa... Hold up. I don't know what the hell you're talking about."

"JUSTIN, THE FUCKING ASSHOLE HID THEM SOMEWHERE AND MADE ME BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE DEAD FOR 10 YEARS!"

"your parents are alive!?"

"YES! AND I HAVE A SISTER!"

"OH MY GOD THATS SO COOL!" I said sarcastically.

"I'm not even kidding. I have no idea what's happening with the world right now"

"You're not lying at all?"

"Everything I said was true"

"Shit. So you're welcoming them by leaving them for a day?"

"I just need everything to settle in. It's hard 'cause you know."

"Damn..."

"Yeah."

"So what exactly happened?"

"Justin knocked on my door and said that i didn't have to forgive him but he didn't want me to think that he was a bad guy."

"But he is a bad guy"

"Then, I saw Lucy... my sister. At first I didn't know who the hell she was but then she showed me a picture and a couple things flashed through my head but just not much."

"So now Justin's a good guy?"

"Not exactly. But then I saw my parents and that's when my thoughts changed. Justin's not a good guy, he's an asshole for hiding this from me."

"That douche"

"You know he made my life worse by bullying me. In 4th grade, I started understanding what depression was because I felt this pain and had suicidal thoughts. But then I kinda felt that I shouldn't go because mom wouldn't want me to. When he bullied me, I really wanted to kick is ass but it had no guts to stand up for myself."

"Do you still have depression?"

"Everything was better in 7th grade because I learned that words can't hurt me."

"But he punches you..."

"Yeah but I just leave that alone."

"Okay? so what are you gonna do when you go back home tomorrow?"

"Talk and talk... I really need everything cleared up."

"So... what's going on with you and Justin then?"

"I don't want anything to do with that asshole. I would really like to forget about him." she said, looking down. I could tell that she was upset and that she really wanted to cry.

"Let's go to sleep..." I said.

She nodded.

Tomorrow we have school and it's not my responsibility but I feel that I have to help her. I can't let that jerk get too close to her. I can't believe that Luke told me he's 'changed' and how he liked Ariana. All fake. Just for some plan he was doing.

It's time for me to change, for good. I can't be all mean anymore. I actually want Ariana. I'm not giving up until she at lease forgives me.
