Fallen rose (Book #1)

Before I knew it..

Someone hugged me without me realizing. Tears upon tears fell. I want to end it all. I don't want to have this burden with me anymore! They're relying on me.

"Lauretta it's okay." A voice said. I glanced over and saw Cedric.

I shook my head not being able to speak. "It's my fault. They're all dead because of me! This is why I ended up in Slytherin!" I finally got out.

He was silent. "I-" he couldn't come up with anything. No one ever could. I released myself from the hug and got out of the bed. I stumbled but none the less was out of it.

"I need to go..." I said.

"I was told to watch after you." He told me.

"Alright.." I was all I could say. I quickly got changed into the clothes on my bedside and brushed through my hair. I grabbed my wand and waved it. My hair flew into a ponytail.

I grabbed the book and held onto it. We left the hospital wing and walked down to the court yard. Cedric found his friends and we began talking. "Hey Cedric?" I asked him.

"Hmm?" He said.

"What's today's date?" I asked having no idea.

"I'm pretty sure is November 14th" he told me.

"That means the first task is in a week!" I said.

"I guess." He said returning to his conversation.

We heard a ruckus making us turn in that direction. Turns out professor Moody had turned Draco into a ferret. I began to laugh which I hadn't done in some time.

When everything settled down Cedric and I started to discuss the tournament.

"Hey Potter! Seen the buttons!" Someone in the group said making me turn. The buttons switched from Potter stinks to Cedric the true champion of Hogwarts.

"Truth be told I don't even go to Hogwarts." I said smirking.

"Yeah but it's pretty funny." They said.

"It's bullying." I said with a serious face.

"No it's not." They told me.

"Yeah it is." I said.

"Lauretta chill. Just ignore them." Cedric said turning me away from them.

When we were talking my brother suddenly walked up to us.

"Cedric I need to talk to you." Harry said glaring at me.

"Alright. Wait here lauretta." Cedric said walking away with harry.

After a few minutes Cedric came back and my brother was storming twords me. "Harry don't start this." Cedric said.

"What happened." I asked in a worried voice.

"It's nothing to worry about." Cedric said. He handed me a note and told me to go ahead and head to lunch.

Harry's p.o.v

I couldn't get it out of my head. The scream I heard erupt from my sister's throat this morning. What was it over any way! Maybe I should ask. No she'll go off on me.

Something must've happened. She's been silent ever since the day she came home from school early covered in blood. Honestly all I could think of how crazy and phsyco she was. Our real mom and dad would've been disgusted with her honestly.

But I want to help her. On the other side I don't. If I'm being honest I wouldn't care if she died in the tournament but I know some people would be upset.

I walked into the great Hall and found her at the ravenclaw table. I rolled my eyes and glared sitting down at the Gryffindor table.
Whatever she's a waste of time anyway.

Lauretta's p.o.v

I poked at my food. Not hungry. That's when my stomach growled a little. Okay..maybe I am..

I grabbed a muffin and munched on that. Nothing to really eat today. I just set it back down on my plate and scrummaged in my bag for the note.

I eventually found it and unfolded it. I read it over and my eyes widened. Seriously! Dragons!

Hmm..maybe I could..no it's too suspicious. I went over every spell and sighed. Might as well go ask. I stood up from my spot at the table and walked out of the great Hall with my stuff.

Harry's p.o.v

Now where is she off too?!

Lauretta's p.o.v

I walked through the hallways taking a few secret passages along the way and found myself are dumbledores office.

"Surley he'll let me go." I said.

I muttured the password and the door opened. I walked in and climbed the stairs. I eventually made it to the top and knocked on the door. Voices hused down and I heard a faint who's there.

I laughed but heard a come in none the less. I opened the door and found Mr.crouch, Snape, professor McGonagall, and karkroff.

"Sir if I may speak to you alone?" I questioned to Dumbledore. He looked me in the eyes and nodded.

"Albus your not thinking?" McGonagall said panicked.

"I will let her if I must." Dumbledore said.

"Lauretta your allowed to but don't over do it." Dumbledore told me a sparkle in his eyes. I nodded and left the room.
