The wand...

  A week had passed. I was in the room if requirements right now. I had stumbled upon it when I was wandering the seventh floor wandering where I could train. Then suddenly a huge door appeared.

And that's where we are now. My hair was white but this time I had control. "Freeze the floor.." I said. But of course if you heard it from me it would've been a whistle.

The floor glazed over with ice and it stopped at my feet.

"Melt." I said. The ice vanished. Thats when I heard the door knob turn. I drew my wand and hid behind a pillar.

Cedric walked in. I made my hair go back to normal and put my wand away. "What is it?" I asked him.

"Let's go hang out by the lake. Your always in here." He said. I huffed and reluctantly went with him. No point in saying no.

Before we headed down to the lake we headed to the kitchen to grab some food. Quickly we tickled the pear and the door opened.

House elfs rushed twords us. "What can we do for ms.potter and mr.diggory today?" A small elf named pop asked us.

"Just some sandwiches and water." Cedric said making her rush off.

"Your literally the only reason why I remember to eat now days." I told Cedric watching the house elfs.

"I don't know if that's good or bad?" He said.

"Good most definitely. I'd be dead by now." I said to him. Pop came rushing back with a small plate if sandwiches and along side her was willow with water.

I took the plate and Cedric took the water. "Thank you again." I told them.

"Anytime Ms.potter." pop said.

We left the kitchens and headed to the lake. "Tree!" I yelled.

I hurried down to the edge of the lake where the tree was and set the sandwich platter down. I quickly kicked my shoes off and began climbing the tree.

"Hey! I said I was climbing first!" Cedric yelled from below.

"Well I got here first." I yelled down at him smiling.

He rolled his eyes and began climbing the tree after setting the water down.

When he got to the branch by mine he sat down. "It's such a pretty view!" I said looking out at the lake.

"You say that every time." Cedric said.

"Well that's what I think." I told him looking out.

Thats when something caught my eye. A small glint in the distance but not to far. Then I saw it. A crystal wand. What the... I climbed down the tree quickly.

"Where you going?" Cedric said.

I had shorts on under my jeans so I slipped my jeans off. I tied my hair up and put my shoes a bit away. Making sure my wand was secure in my hair and ran and jumped in the water.

"Lauretta what the hell!" Cedric yelled running twords the dock.

I just ignored him. I began swimming to the wand. I don't know if he saw it or not. Maybe not.

Something grabbed my foot and pulled me under. Mermaid. I kicked her face and she flew back but pulled me with her. She scratched my leg and blood drew. I grabbed my wand and shot a spell at her. It hit her hand that was on my ankle. She screamed and grabbed her hand.

Not wasting anytime I began swimming away from her. She tried to swim after me but couldn't. Like there was a barrier stopping her. I poked my head out from the water and looked around.

"Lauretta what the hell are you doing! Get back here!" Another voice unlike Cedric's yelled.

I twisted my head backwards and found Harry. I pulled my head back up and turned around to look at him. "Screw off! I can do what I want!" I yelled back so he could hear.

"If you don't come back I'm telling Cedric you secret about what happened before Hogwarts." He yelled out me.

I paused. "Go ahead." Was all I said before swimming out again. I was about to grabbed the wand from the rock when something grabbed my waist and pulled me under.

"Lauretta!!" Was all I heard be water filled my ears. I let my eyes adjust to the waters lighting. A squid as big as Hogwarts was there. It's arm was wrapped around me in a tight grip. I struggled to break free.

His arm only tighten. This is going to leave an intense amount of pain. I pounded and pounded on his arm trying to get free. I was running out of air. Black spots were showing up in my vision. That's when I saw a distant light.

Suddenly the squid rushed off. I swam as quick as I could to the surface. When my head broke the water I took a deep breathe of air. Breathing heavily I grabbed the wand.

Time to get to shore.
