"Good morning Ma'am. How are you feeling today?", Lisa greeted me as soon as I reached my office.
I smiled," I'm good. Thanks for asking."
"I'll get you your coffee and schedule."
I nodded.
Today's morning was not a regular one. Instead of getting up at 6 in my bedroom, I was awakened by the uncomfortable posture I was sleeping in. After looking around, I realized that Aish and me had passed out on the couch after our movie night.
Last night, I was feeling asleep during the interval of the sixth movie we were watching but Aish forcefully kept me awake till the end.
We didn't have the strength to go to the room so we crashed on the couch.
My eyes fell on the table clock which said it's 7:30 in the morning.
Sighing, I slowly get up so that I don't disturb Aish and walk towards my room to get dressed.
Aish was awake by the time I came downstairs after getting dressed for office. We had breakfast together and then we parted ways.
My office door opened and Lisa walked in with a coffee mug in one hand and her i-pad in another.
After placing the cup in front of me, she started with my schedule. Some extra work was piled on my table because of my absence from office yesterday.
I had three meetings back to back which didn't give me time to think anything else.
By the time I was finally walking back to my office from the conference room, it was already lunch time.
As I crossed Lisa's office, I asked her," Have I got anymore meetings today?"
She looked up from her laptop and shook her head," That was all for today ma'am. The rest of your today's work only concerns files."
I nodded and started to walk away when she called me again," Umm Ma'am, you've got a visitor."
I raised my eyebrow," Who?"
She shrugged and I'm sure I saw a hint of teasing in her eyes.
Curiosity built inside me and I started walking towards my office with around ten names in my mind.
But the sight that welcomed me was nothing from my imagination.
Inside my office was Aaron and Zack, sitting on my couch and laughing like old friends.
Upon seeing me enter, their laughter stops and Zack speaks," What are you doing here?"
Sighing I walk inside and drop my phone on my table," It's my office and I should be the one asking that question to you two."
They both shrug and Aaron replies," I was waiting for you and Zack was keeping me company."
I lean back on my table and cross my hands on my chest," Well now I'm here."
