"Aaron, it just a matter of two days

"Aaron, it just a matter of two days. I'll leave tomorrow and be back next day.", Rachel said while going through the channels to find something she likes.

"But two days and one night without you is an awfully long time, Sunshine!", I grumbled.

She looked at me and crawled in my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and burried my head in her hair.

"If it makes you feel any better, I am also going to miss you terribly.", she murmured in my chest.

"Mhmmm,"

Right now we're in Rachel's penthouse and I'm upset about the fact that she has to leave for Chicago tomorrow for two fucking days.

"The branch in Chicago has some issues that I've to look into myself. If I could avoid it I'd have.", she gave me her puppy dog eyes.

"Fine! Just take care of yourself and come back soon."

She leaned in to kiss me softly but I gripped her neck to deepen the kiss. Moving down her neck, I started to undress her in a hurry. She instantly reciprocated my actions and got rid of my clothes.

Without wasting anytime in foreplay, I took her thrice on the couch.

The next day, after one more round of lovemaking in the shower, I finally drove her at the airport where her private jet was waiting for her.

We both got out of the car and looked at each other, with the jet standing a few feet from us.

"Take care of yourself.", I said.

"You too."

"Rach, I .. I,", I wanted to tell her that I love her but couldn't bring myself to do that.

"You what?"

"I am gonna miss you.", I said holding her her hand.

"I know."

It was a windy day. The sun rays fell directly on Rachel's hair and eyes, making them sparkle. My heart stopped and I swear on angels that I haven't seen a more beautiful woman than her. She is just perfect.

Bringing my hand to cup her chin, I moved closer to her and placed a soft kiss on her lips. Moving her hands around my neck, Rachel bit my lower lip and thrusted her tongue inside my mouth. There was a hint of longing in the way she assaulted my lips.

Breaking the kiss, she joined our forheads and said in a whisper,"Goodbye."

And then she walked towards the jet, away from me.

I knew that she will be back by tomorrow night but I don't know why I was having a bad vibe about it. Something inside me was telling me that Rachel will be gone for a very long time, I'll not be able to see her or kiss her ever again. This was the last time I held her close to me.

The doors of the jet closed and it started taxing down the runway and I just knew at that very moment that I'm going to regret my decision of not telling Rachel that I love her.

I shook my head to remove these negative thoughts and drove to my office.

The rest of the day was spent trying to focus on my work but my mind kept drifting back to my Sunshine. I tried to fight the negativity that I was feeling about it was just too strong.

I even got a message from Rachel informing that she landed safely but I was still not at calm.

That night, not feeling Rachel's warmness beside me in bed was torturous. From the day we made love for the first time, we've never been separate at nights. And now I've just forgotten how to sleep alone.

The next morning I hoped that I'd have gotten over my negative feeling but I was wrong. It was still there. I even messaged Rachel asking about her whereabouts and she replied positively.

In the evening she called me saying that she'll be boarding her flight back home in an hour. It's 6 in the evening now so she should be here by 9 o'clock.

Not being able to focus on my work, I decided to pay Noah a small visit before heading to airport to pick Rachel.

"How was Greece?", I asked Noah entering his office.

He was in Greece for the inauguration of his new restaurant and had come back two days.

"Fabulous. The restaurant have only been opened for a week and the revenues are great."

I nodded. Sensing my foul mood, he asked,"All okay, buddy?"

"I don't know. Rachel was in Chicago and is on her way back now. I just can't help but think that something bad is about to happen."

He furrowed his eyebrows,"Relax man, I think you're thinking too much. Everything will be okay."

"I hope you're right."

"Well, you up for Xbox?", he asked.

"No."

"Come on, it'll help you to calm down before Rachel lands."

Reluctantly I agreed.

Noah was right. It really helped me to divert my attention from the negativity. The next hour was spent in from of TV shouting and laughing at each other. But my happiness didn't last long.

It was around 8:05 when my phone rang.

It was Zack.

Strange, he never calls me.

I couldn't help but feel nervous.
I picked up the call hesitantly, not knowing that my fear of something going wrong was actually about to come true. Or should I say that it had already come true.
