Bladerunner ran over to Nicholas and uncovered his eyes to look at the damage. Blood covered his face and talons and was starting to form a puddle on the ground.
"Don't w-worrie about m-me. Focus on J-Jr. and Judith. Their in w-worse shape than m-me." stuttered Nicholas. Bladerunner looked down at Nicholas, "Why?" she thought. She then looked over to her two other dragonets. "What did I do wrong?" she thought. She nuzzled Nicholas then ran over to talk to Blueberry.
She looked down at her dragonets. Both of them pale and were laying in a pool of not only their own blood, but each others. Judith's blood was slightly lighter than Jr's. You could only tell when you looked at where it mixed. Blueberry had put a few bandages on both of them but blood was starting to seep through. On the verge of tears, Bladerunner looked at Blueberry.
"Are they okay?" she asked him. He looked at her, both with sadness and fear.
"I'm not going to lie to you your majesty. I don't think that they will survive." Bladerunner stared at him, knowing that there was more he wanted to say.
"But..." prodded Bladerunner.
Blueberry looked at the wounded dragonets then back at his queen, "But if we get them back to the palace where I have more and better equipment, I might be able to increase their chances of living from 15% to 30%."
Bladerunner nodded at Blueberry. She looked to her husband, who was by Nicholas comforting him along with Starseer. She turned back to Blueberry.
"You can help Nicholas too right?" she asked, hoping for a positive answer.
"Yes. But their condition is more dire." He responded while pointing to Jr. and Judith.
Bladerunner nodded and again turned towards her husband.
"Take Nicholas home and tell everyone to be on alert. If they find out that their targets didn't die they will be try again." she said to him with as much confidence as she could. Eagle looked at her. He looked confused.
"What about you? Your going to need help carrying them."
"No. I think we will be fine. Just get Nicholas home and warn everyone else." She repeated. Eagle looked at his wife, then at his kids, and back to his wife. He nodded, picked up Nicholas, and flew off in the direction of the palace along with Starseer. Bladerunner and Blueberry soon followed them with two unconscious dragonets dangling from their talons.
Raspberry followed as well, after skinning Snowdrift's mark off her shoulder. "This could be of use one day." she thought, then flew after her father and queen.

About an hour later..."They're not not there your majesty." said a scout, "Would you like me to organize an attack Sir?"
"No. They will be expecting that. Send a few scouts out to where you found the blood. If they really are not there then send them on to the palace with a Rainwing scale." said a voice in the darkness.
"But sir, I already scouted where the blood was found. The only thing there other than it was 026's body."
"Are you challenging the order of not only your king but your FATHER!?" yelled the voice.
"N-no sir. Not at all sir. I was was just curious as to why you didn't trust my report." responded the scout.
"Because you're a 2 year old dragonet, and all dragonets lie. By the way the scouts you send out, make sure their numbers and older than 020." said the voice.
"Yes sir." said the scout. He left the dark throne room.
"I hope none of my siblings challenge him." he thought, "I would love to snap his neck." He went and rounded up a few scouts for the assignment.
