You reluctantly woke up to the sound of your phone ringing. With your eyes barely open, you answered the call with a groan. "Hello?" You mumbled as your head slowly dropped back down to the pillow.
"You need to wake up! Have you looked outside?" Felix suddenly shouted down the phone.
"Hmm no... what is it?" You asked, not really wanting to move from your warm bed.
"It's snowing! There's actual snow on the ground!" He exclaimed excitedly, his voice getting slightly higher each time.
You had to admit that even though you had seen snow almost every year in Korea, it was still really fun and exciting. You jumped out of bed and quickly opened your curtains.
"Oh my god, it looks so pretty." You said amazed as you stared at the white land in front of you.
"I know right! And school's cancelled today so can we meet up?" He asked eagerly.
You immediately smiled, "Okay I'll see you at the park in fifteen minutes." After wrapping up in three layers of clothing along with gloves, a hat and a scarf, you were fully prepared to go out into the freezing cold weather.
Once you arrived, you found Felix just staring at the snow in awe, and you couldn't help but laugh. Since he had moved from Sydney where there was rarely any snow, he was still in shock.
A cunning thought came to mind as you grabbed a ball of snow from the ground and playfully aimed it at the boy. He immediately spun around in surprise as the cold, wet snow dripped down his neck.
"Oh it's on." He muttered in his deep voice, a small smirk arising on his lips before he threw one straight back at you; but of course, you were smart enough to dodge it.
"I'm a level 5 snowball master - good luck trying to beat me." You said coolly as you began faking some sort of martial arts move.
He laughed at your awkward movements before he pretended to act serious again. "Well, I believe you're forgetting that I have a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, so I've got a few tricks up my sleeve too." He replied proudly.
"I see... then let the fight begin!" You announced quickly as you both began throwing snowballs at each other, whilst trying to simultaneously hide behind trees to dodge.
Towards the end, Felix attempted to do one of his high kicks to show off, but then he suddenly slipped halfway and landed with a thud on the ground. You quickly rushed over and kneeled down next to him to see if he was alright.
