Chapter 8

Raven's POV
Today is the day of the date that Toni asked me to 2 days ago. It is a Saturday and it's quite nice outside.

I walked into my bathroom and took out a galaxy bath bomb from the sink drawer, turned on the water faucet.

Grabbing my phone I began playing; Al Green - How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, on the bathroom stereo speaker.

I sat in the bathtub and sighed in relaxation, as I closed my eyes.

I got lost in the lyrics of the song and I started to cry for absolutely no reason maybe not really.

But I kept on wondering if Toni will mend my broken heart because he's the one who broke it and wants to take responsibility for it by mending my broken heart and I will not stop him because I have never stopped loving him for the past 10 years, it's like my heart is trapped in a cage and waiting for its savior to free it.

It's like my heart and mind have a mind of their own, my heart loves Toni and my mind wants to hate him but just can't, it's all confusing.

I got lost in my train of thoughts and didn't realize how much time I was spending in the bathtub.

"Ahh shit it's almost 12:30 and Toni is picking me up at 1:00 pm" I finished everything needed for my hygiene and now it's time to get dressed.

Since, I'm more of a jeans, graphic tees and combat boots girl and the casual style of my closet is mostly stuff from the 90s.
I walked into my closet and found the perfect outfit.

I didn't bother putting much effort in my hair I left it in its natural Afro my makeup was only eyeliner, mascara and I did my eyebrows, once I was done I checked myself out and a proud smile flashed on my face.

"Ding ding ding" my doorbell rings
Oh ok Toni is here, 'don't be nervous act cool because you must show him he doesn't affect you anymore' I spoke to myself while walking towards the door.

"Hi, Toni" I greeted him but he's was busy checking me out and I did the same too because he's looked so fine. This man always did know how to dress.

"Hey, Toni are you there? are you ok?" I waved my hands frantically in his face until he finally snapped out of it.

"Oh sorry, I zoned out you just look wow" he's just gonna 'wow' oh well it's not like I was dressing to impress anyone but maybe to impress him.

"And beautiful if I might add" ok I spoke too soon.

"Why thank you, my good man," I said to him.

"Shall we get going?" Toni asks me and I nodded my head and walked out of my house after picking up my purse.

                   Antonio's POV
As soon as Raven opened the door I was in awe not that I'm not but I still am.

Raven was outfit looked like she just came straight out the 90s then again that was her favorite fashion decade.

When I asked her we should get going I couldn't help but glance at her abundant ass as she walks in front of me, her hips were unintentionally swaying side to side and it was causing my pants to tighten even more by the second.

I when we got to my car it was a 1970 Old School Cadillac, I named her Birdy since my little one's name is Raven why not name my other baby, Birdy.

Raven has always admired old school vehicles and she just stood on the sidewalk and looked at the car in wonderment.

"Toni your car is very beautiful" she peels her eyes from the car to me smiling widely all her dimples and the chinples (chin dimples) under the side of her lips.

It helped enhanced her face and beauty, even more, her smile is forever heart-shattering.

"Thank you baby girl I know about your admiration for vintage vehicles," I told her while opening the door for her and I heard a small thank you in return.

"Toni where are we going," Raven asks me with anticipation written all over her face.

"It's a secret I can't tell you it, but what I can tell you is that you are in for a treat" I looked over at her smiling.

"You're so mean why can't you just tell me" Raven whines seeing that I'm ignoring her she just huffs and turned to the window to look outside.

I just chuckled at her actions she's so damn cute.

We started getting closer to the secret surprise I had in store for her.

"This area looks strangely familiar" She mumbled to herself.

When we finally arrived Raven eyes were almost popping out of their sockets.

"Toni you remembered I thought you had forgotten this place" she jumps and hugs me I did not hesitate to wrap my arms around her.

She pulled away and we looked at each other in the eyes and I started leaning in to kiss her.

"Thank you but you still have a lot more wooing to do to finally be able to kiss me" she presses her index finger to my anticipating lips.

I released her and sucked my teeth
"Soon enough Piccola we will test that theory of yours" I cockily spoke while Raven rolls her beautiful brown eyes.

"Dream fucking on Toni, you know that I don't give in to anything easily" I gotta agree with what she said about not giving in easily.

"Well let's head on in" I wrap my arm around her curvy waist.

When we walked in the scenery of the whole diner screamed the 1960s diner interior.

The floor was checkered tiles, there were red leather booths and barstools near the counter.

Someone started to approach us and it was Bruno the owner of the diner it's even named after him.

"My eyes must be deceiving me is that Little Ray and Toni boy" Bruno Walks up to us with a shocked expression never leaving his face.

Raven jumps into his arms and hugs Bruno tightly.

"Can't breathe, lil ray" Raven and Bruno laughter fills the whole diner and the customers all had smiles on their faces staring at the two.

I also smiled at the scene that has been displayed.

"Yes, Bruno it's us" I answered and he walks over to me and pulled me down to his height and hug the life out of me.

"Oh my naughty little kids are finally grown and matured I'm so proud of you two," Bruno said with unshed tears in his eyes.

Bruno's diner used to be Raven and I safe haven.

We used to come here almost every day not to just eat but enjoy the joy of being in such a wonderful dinner this was before everything went to shit town.

"Come have a see at your usual booth and order whatever you guys want it's all on the house" Bruno leads us to our usual table.

I noticed something about the diner everything still looked the same but just replaced with the newer yet similar items and design.

"Raven was busy looking at everything while I started finding a way to propose to her formally but I had no idea of how to put my words together.

Oh God help me...
