Chapter 25

Raven's POV
Before I blacked out, the car that crashed into mine was driving away from the scene.

I saw a woman she had long blonde hair and sunglasses on.

Immediately, I recognized who it was as I welcomed the darkness.

Antonio's POV
Why isn't Raven home yet it's been over an hour now and I'm getting very much worried?

My phone starts to ring and I saw it was an unknown number. I answered the call and waited until the person on the other end spoke.

"Hello is this the husband of Raven Harris?" The voice asked through the phone.

"Yes, this is he" I replied confused as to why a stranger was answering my wife's call.

"I am calling from Sunny field hospital" Now this got my attention.

"What happened to my wife?" My voice was raised.

"Mr. Harris, your wife was a victim of a hit and run and is currently in the emergency room" The voice told me in an almost emotionless tone.

"Thank you very much I'll be there as soon as I can" I cut off the call and went up to Amelia's bedroom and carried her into the car because she already fell asleep.

I called my parents, Amara, Lucy and Luke to inform them of the bad news and they were all devastated and they said they will be at the hospital.

Honestly, I didn't give a damn about the traffic lights and speed limit.

I was driving like a mad man because who wouldn't? You suddenly get the news that the love of your life is in the hospital seriously injured. So, please give me a break.

I finally arrived at the hospital, I ran
into the emergency room with Amelia in my arms sleeping with no care in the world.

I walked towards the receptionist table and asked for Raven, he said that the doctors are currently performing surgery on her because she was hurt pretty badly.

Soon moments later my family ran into the emergency room, mom's, Amara's and Lucy's eyes were bloodshot red from crying.

Dad and Luke had a sullen expression on their faces, I knew they wanted to cry but they had to stay strong.

"My poor baby and grandchild, God please keep them safe" I heard mom silently praying.

'Wait-what did she say, grandchild? Is Raven pregnant and she didn't tell me anything, why?'

"Mom what are you talking about?" I asked walking towards her.

"I-I-" Just as when mom was about to answer me the doctor walked into the waiting room.

We all rushed up to him "Doctor, how's my sister doing? Is she alright?" Luke hurriedly asked.

"Yes she's stable now, broke a few ribs and hit her head pretty hard. I'll say in a few weeks she's going to be healed" The doctor answered us professionally.

"Uhm doctor, what about the baby?" Mom asked the doctor distressingly.

"Luckily, the babies are very safe no harm came to them"
'Babies Raven and I are having twins!'

My face broke out into a full blown smile
In a few hours, we'll let you see her when she wakes up.

The ladies started jumping for joy
'Thank you, Lord, for protecting my family'

We all walked back to our seats and Mom was cradling Amelia to her chest kissing her forehead every other second.

It's been almost 5 hours now and we still didn't get the news that Raven is awake,
mom and dad, I think you guys should go home and get some rest. Please take Amelia with you also" They nodded their heads getting up to leave.

"Stay strong son, Raven is a fighter she'll overcome this" Dad patted my shoulders
I looked over to Amara and Lily to send them home.

"Don't even think about it?" Amara said while she and Lily glared at me.

I raised my hands in surrender Luke came and sat next to me.

I have an inkling about the accident was somehow connect to someone we just had a fallout with.

Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I called Wayne 'our Mafia tech guy' to trace the Raven's car to the last place it was seen and he shows me a video of the crash.

Luke unlocks his phone and plays the video.

I clicked play, I see Raven's car pulling out of the roadside of Amelia's school and from the side there was a big black van come out of nowhere and hit Raven's car purposely and it caused her car to hit a big lamp post destroying the whole car but she had managed to get out of before the some real permanent damage was done.

The car came back around to hit Raven making her fall on the ground in her own pool of blood.

By the time I finished watching the clip, my blood was boiling furiously and Luke had to grab his phone away from my grip on it.

"Careful don't break it cause you're going to buy me another one" Luke stated I didn't even pay any mind to him.

"Family of Raven Harris" The nurse called out.

"That's us" Amara, Lucy, and Luke we all said in unison.

The nurse looked at us weirdly "Only one person at a time are allowed to visit" The nurse sternly pointed out.

I nodded my head and followed the nurse to Raven's room and I was nervous to see her.

"Here you are sir" The nurse opened the door.

I saw Raven on the bed looking out the window and she didn't even notice that I was in the room.

She finally turned around
"Who are you?"
