Chapter 3

Raven's POV
When I arrived at the home I grew up at, the nostalgic flooded my head.

I exited my car and walked towards the front door and before I was about to knock the door open and I found myself staring at the head maid Mrs. Ricci.

"Raven is that you?" Mrs. Ricci asked me in pure astonishment.

"Yes, Granny it's me" I answered with unshed tears in my eyes.

Mrs. Ricci is like the grandmother I never had. She was the only one who understood me, always encouraged me to do better than my bullies and not to let them get to me when I used to reside here.

Although, Mrs. Harris did what she could do to make me as comfortable as I could be. I love her as my own Grandmother.

"Oh, my sweet child how much I've missed you" She said pulling me into a tight hug.

"I should hit you for not visiting all these years, you had me worried," Mrs. Ricci said while hugging me tightly.

She pulled back from the hug to take a good look at me "Look at you, you grew to become such a beautiful woman even though I miss your cute adorable self". I smiled and thanked her.

"Granny, where's everyone?" I asked her
"Oh Sir and Madam are in the dining room awaiting for you kids appearances, and the Young Mistress is in her bedroom getting ready as usual and Young Master is running a little late" I felt relieved when she said Toni will be late to dinner.

"I can't wait till Young Master sees you again, he hasn't been himself ever since you left" Granny told me smiling wistfully.

"Why is that?" I asked in a shocked tone.
She smirked "Sweetheart, I always knew about yours crushes on each other even a blind person could see it" I was utterly stunned when she told me this.

This whole time, my stupid ass thought I was being secretive about it.

"Raven, my dear please give him another chance if he wants one or at least hear him out, I know that he hurt you but he hasn't been the same since you moved out of the mansion and his life" I felt a little sad about what she just told me.

I thanked her and started walking towards the dining room.

When I walked in I was immediately tackled in a big hug by Dad and Mom.
"Raven, you look so beautiful" Mrs. Harris said while I was in their embrace.

"Thank you, Mom and Dad, I missed you guys so much" They refused for me to call them Mr. and Mrs. Harris to their faces.

They always gave the assurance that I was was and still am their daughter since they are my godparents and I appreciate them a lot for being in my life.

They released me from the hug and started bombarding me with multiple questions.

"One at a time, yes I've been doing very well mom, business is going smoothly Dad, and no nothing interesting is going on in my life currently and yes I am still single as a stick Mom" I said answering some of their questions.

Of course, I knew she was going to ask me the 'are you still single' questions.
I was about to say something else until I got interrupted by my one of a kind, best friend.

"Hello, family how are you doing on this wonderful evening!" Amara yells as she walks into the dining room.

She was wearing a simple red dress that hugged her curvy figure nicely, her makeup was natural with red lipstick to top off her look. Overall everything was simple yet elegant.

I also notice she dyed her hair again, ever since she started wearing her natural hair she's been trying different colors on it.

Mom rolled her eyes at Amara because we all knew her for making entrances. She hugs all of us and took her seat across me.

"Ok then let's start on dinner since Antonio will be a little late," Dad says to us then ordered the Chef and maids to bring in the meal.

As my plate was placed in front of me
Toni walks in the dining room "I feel hurt that you guys started dinner without me" he said jokingly but sounded serious at the same time.

It felt like the wind was knocked out of me because he looks so different, he was wearing a business/casual attire, he had a full beard.

But there was something off about his eyes it looked soullessly dead.
His gaze was cold, dull, and almost lifeless.

When his eyes landed on my I felt intimidated by his gaze and I felt a little bit aroused ok maybe not so little.
His gazed made me shift around a bit in my seat.

I looked up to see a naughty smirk playing on his lips.

Mom and Amara walked up to give Toni a hug but not once did his enchanting eyes leave mine.

"Welcome home, Son," Dad says standing up from his seat to embrace his son.

"Since Toni if finally here let's start eating because there is something we have to say to you guys" Dad spoke while holding Mom's hand.

Toni walked around the dining table and took a seat right next to me and leaned into my ear.

"Miss me, little one?" He whispers into my ear making a cold chill trickle down my spin.

I wanted to smack him for that darn nickname he bestowed up on me since we were younger.

I just ignored him and that seemed to piss Toni off because he grabbed my naked thigh in a tight grip and that made me turn and look at him with an annoyed expression.

"No, I did not miss you to answer your question, now get your hand off my thigh before I break it" I whisper harshly.

Toni was eyes widen and his face grew sad and he retracted his hand from my thigh.

I turn back my attention to see Mom, Dad and Amara were having a conversation of their own.

For the rest of dinner, Toni didn't bother me he just glanced at me every 5 seconds
When dinner ended we moved into the lounge room.

"Now it's time to tell you guys the reason why I called for this dinner"
