Fly Away to Neverland, Maybe We'll Never Land ~ Van Hof

When you have a family who got stuck with you, you never really know what to say when people tell you that you don't belong. Because honestly, it's what I think everyday of my life.

The day Zianna found me, she was excited, finally.. a daughter. Everyone else, not so much... I wasn't seen as apart of the family, I was excluded from events, and to them... I was nothing...

"People with depression are stronger then the people without it." -MAR

Reading that quote, it made me think that I'm strong. That the voices in my head were just voices. I have no clue who 'MAR' is. But they make the best quotes for depression, my favorite one is;

'You never know how strong you are, until strong is the only choice you have.'

I've always been the type of person to listen to those kinds of quotes because I mean, they really speak to you if you really listen. I listen. Unlike everyone else.

I walked down the stairs, it was December and a few weeks before Christmas. We started Winter Break soon too. It had already started to snow so I was dressed in warm clothes.

"(Y/n), are you ready?" Vlyad asked

"(Y/n), are you ready?" Vlyad asked.
"Yup," I grabbed my bag and walked outside with Garroth, Vlyad and Zane.

As we walked down the sidewalk, Garroth walked next to me.
"You're gonna be walking home alone today, Zane, Vlyad and I have a thing, and since Mom and Dad aren't home you'll be going to the Zvhals," Garroth explained.

I just stayed quiet and nodded, I'm so used to not being invited that I just stopped trying to protest. I was the youngest. Vlyad was a year above me, Zane was two and Garroth was three. I'm a freshman. It kinda sucks.

"(Y/n)? Did you hear me?" Zane asked.

I looked up from my thoughts, "What?" I asked.
"I said that you should go home after school, grab some clothes and just stay the night with Lyla. We won't be home so I just figured it'd be best," Zane said.
"Oh... Okay," I said.
"You okay? You seen a bit off," Zane frowned.
"I'm fine... Just tired," I smiled.

Zane nodded and continued walking. Honestly, that's my excuse for everything. Just say that I'm tired, because I am. I'm tired of being ignored and left out of everything. But, they don't care...

They never have...

I kicked up the snow and walked home, I don't even know where they went. I didn't see them all day, I looked up in our driveway to see a black Chevy in our driveway...

Moms home...

I walked inside and I saw her in the kitchen with Dad.
"Hey sweetie," She smiled.
"Hi..." I smiled back.
"How are you?" Dad asked.
"I'm better.." I nodded.

Lies

"That's good," he smiled.
"Uhm... Garroth told me he, Zane and Vlyad had a thing tonight so I came to get clothes and then I'm going to Lyla's house," I said.
"Your father and I just came home to get some papers, we have a meeting tonight so we'll give you a ride on our way there," Mom smiled.

I nodded slowly and walked upstairs to pack some clothes.

I looked in the mirror and stared at myself. I was skinny. So skinny that if I breathed in you could see my ribs. I lifted my shirt slightly and poked at the remaining fat. I looked up and saw another me in the mirror.

"You need to loose that weight, no one will think you're beautiful."

"I'm trying..." I said.

The other me disappeared as my door opened, I dropped my shirt and turned to see my mom.

"Almost ready?" She asked.

I nodded and grabbed my duffle bag, we headed out the door and into the car. After a short drive, we made it to the Zvhals house, I got out of the car and said my goodbyes. I saw Lyla inside motioning me to come inside.

I entered the house to see it completely decorated for Christmas. Lyla hugged me and we went upstairs before Laurence saw me.

"Okay! So, I have an idea," she smiled.
"Oh no..." I laughed.
"We should put snow in Laurence's bed, he won't be home for awhile and it'll be dark! He won't even notice!" Lyla laughed.
I shrugged, "Sure, I need to burn off lunch anyways."
Lyla frowned but didn't say anything. We grabbed some buckets and filled them with snow, we then dumped them on Laurence's bed.

This is gonna be great...

Later that night, Lyla and I heard the scream of Laurence. We both giggled when he busted through the door.

"You brat! Why I outta-" he stopped when he saw me, "Hi (Y/n). Ro'meave's leave you out again?"

I nodded, "Used to it by now."

Laurence frowned, "I'll deal with you guys in the morning, I'm sleeping in dads room."

Laurence shut the door and we just giggled, the only good part about being casted out is that I have such amazing friends.
