I stared at myself in the mirror, not knowing what to say to Gene... Not only am I going on a date, but I have to ask him to go to court... Son of a bitch...

Gene had blindfolded me and led me towards where the date was. I nearly tripped five times, but we finally made it.
"Are you ready?" He asked. I smiled and nodded, and he slipped the blindfold off. It took a second for my eyes to adjust, but what I saw was breathtaking...

"This... is beautiful," I smiled.
Gene and I both sat down, "And when we're done eating... We can go for a boat ride..." he smiled. I smiled at him, "It's perfect..."
We sat there and talked about life, we eventually got into the topic of the Ro'meaves, but I quickly got away from it.
"What happened to you... it should've never happened..." Gene started, "You deserve so much more then them. Because you, (Y/n), are beautiful..." Gene put his hand on my cheek and I smiled at him, "You're pretty great too..." I smiled slightly and grabbed his hand, "I need a favor from you..." "What is it?" He asked. I sighed, "I need you to testify for me.. in the trial tomorrow..." "Why?" He asked. "Because Laurence is an idiot and said something about you, now the judge wants to talk to you. We need you to confirm everything the Ro'meaves did to me when I was living with them, so the Zvhals can adopt me. I know it's asking a lot... but Laurence could go to jail, and he's my brother..." I explained. "Of course, you deserve a happy family..." he smiled.
We stood up and went on the canoe ride, it was so amazing...

I had Gene's jacket on, and he walked me up to the house. "Tonight was amazing..." I smiled. "I'm glad you enjoy it," he smiled back.
We stood there, smiling at each other, he gently pushed a piece of hair behind my ear, and his fingers glided across the chin, lifting it to his lips.
Before we could kiss, Laurence opened the door, "Good evening," he said. We pulled apart very quickly, "Ruining my moments Zvahl," Gene smirked. Laurence had a big ass grin on his face, "I don't know what you're talking about."
I rolled my eyes and kissed Gene's cheek, "Goodnight..." I walked inside, "Goodnight..." he said softly.
Laurence shut the door and just smirked, "Mean," I said. "It's what brothers do," he smiled.
I picked up Charlie and went upstairs into my room, I took off my makeup and changed into PJ's, what an wonderful day...
As I set down my brush, I heard pebbles being thrown at my window, I opened it to see Gene. He climbed up the tree and came into my room, "What are you doing?" I asked. "We never got our kiss," he smiled.
I smiled and locked my door, so we weren't rudely interrupted again.
"Now..." Gene walked up to me, "How did this go again?" He tucked a piece of hair behind my ear like he did before, and glided his fingers to lift my chin. He leaned down and kissed me.
We pulled away and he smiled at me, "Goodnight..." he climbed back out the window, and I saw him walk down the street. I watched him till he disappeared, and then went back to see Charlie laying on my pillow.
I moved him to his cat tree and laid down, I slowly fell asleep... It's been a great day..
