"hey haechan, im curious about something.. what are we? some?" soobin asked, when she realised haechan was holding her hand as the two were looking up to the sky, reflecting on their day.

some definition:

ambiguous relationship between two people where there is "something" going on, but neither of the participants know what exactly what that something is.

some? haechan soon realised what he did, holding a noona's hand. the two never told each other they had feelings for each other. soobin only cried when she finally met haechan after 2 years while haechan was very particularly caring to soobin noona. now that he realised it, he never actually called her noona and dropped the formalities by calling her just soobin casually, as if they were the same age.

he let go of her hands and the two kept quiet afterwards. "noona, do you see me as a man?" haechan asked awkwardly.

soobin broke into a chuckle, its the first time haechan was respecting her. its weird to see this side of him since he's always very r00d. she thought carefully about his question. for the past 2 years, was it love? or was it just her missing a close dongsaeng of hers? when he held her hand earlier ago, she didn't feel any butterflies.

haechan, on the other hand, was confused too. was his genuine care for soobin love or a consideration towards someone older than him? you know, they say love doesn't have a timing. you just fall in love. the two in the end denied each other's feelings and insisted it was a noona dongsaeng relationship. he walked her home, since it was pretty late.

one step, walk you home, the steps are heavy.

two steps, walk you home, each step is regretful.

three steps, walk you home, each step is tough.

four steps, walk you home, each step makes me sad.

"here, you're finally home, goodbye, take care!" haechan said when they reached soobin's apartment. they waved at each other and haechan bumped onto one of the lamp post because he wasn't looking at the front when they waved. this kid is very clumsy, soobin thought.

when the two got home and laid on bed individually, they were in deep thought. were they denying their feelings? if not, why did they feel bad and sad when they agreed on the noona dongsaeng relationship? definitely, something doesn't feel right.

even our hearts don't know the answer.
