"wake up, its christmas!!" someone yelled into haechan ears, and he could tell right away it was jaehyun because he keeps repeating milk bells instead of jingle bells. ugh, he should have bought that dude a lorry of milk instead of airpods.it probably cost cheaper does it? today, the five friends planned to spend christmas together.
they decided to have dinner at taeil's house and order outside because taeil didn't want his house to burn down although both haechan and jaehyun insisted they were great cooks and their overflowing confidence just makes taeil more suspicious of how great of a cook they were.

"ugh babe, youre so gorgeous today" haechan complimented soobin the minute the two girls rang the doorbell. soobin blushed while eunseo just walked past him and brofist-ed jaehyun the minute the two saw each other. taeil, the house owner was busy ensuring everything was perfect. they cheered to alcohol except that haechan had apple juice instead since he was still underage. the boy illegally drank once and the girlfriend wouldn't allow her boy to break the laws.
taeil honestly felt so lonely because he could sense a some going on between eunseo and jaehyun while the other two were already a couple. jinye suddenly came to his mind but thank you, next. he didn't need a bitch in his life. its okay to be lonely, you know. everyone exchanged gifts with one another and really, taeil thought his house window was gonna crack the minute eunseo screamed when she received a pandora bracelet from jaehyun. dude is so rich in giving girls expensive gifts while he only gave both haechan and taeil pokemon socks. hMM.
soobin gifted haechan a photo album of the both of them from day 1 till today. he couldn't help but smile at every picture. it was a good form of memory although haechan did felt annoyed that soobin always wanted to take pictures on every date but it was for a reason. a big picture indeed. she smiled along, when she saw how haechan's grin got bigger when he flipped every page of the photo album. she was worried if the boy got disappointed because the gift was nowhere expensive.
it was nine, which means in thiry minutes time, the boat that haechan rented would be ready to get on board. the two excused themselves and went for their christmas date alone. the boat made a round within the river where the whole seoul scenery could be admired. again, soobin took out her camera and took photos of them to keep it as a memory. meanwhile, haechan, on the other hand, has been checking his watch from time to time as he had something planned at ten. soobin found her boyfriend very suspicious but decided to shrug it off. probably he's getting sea sick from being on the boat for quite a while.
"soobin noona?" the boy called for the girl, which made her turn. it got her anxious because she never heard this tone from him before. the boy had both his arms on the railing, which meant soobin had no way of escaping. he stared at the ground before finally staring at her eyes. "i can't imagine life neo eobsin mossandago. malroman hamyeon meuhae ijen boyeojueo naege" he said, giving references from welcome to my playground.

the boy leaned in and kissed soobin. they pulled away after a while and the girl replied "nae nuni sumi maeumi neoreul wonhae" which made the boy smiled. he pulled soobin into a hug while staring at the fireworks displayed.
what a beautiful christmas.
not wanting to miss this chance, soobin took out her camera and took pictures of them under the fireworks. afterwards, soobin took out a few candies from her bag and put in on haechan's hand. "remember when you gave me candies at the start of the year? now its my turn to give you at the end of the year" she said. haechan grinned and opened the sweet wrapper and immediately sucked the candy.
two years ago, it was bubble gum that brought them together.
this year, it was candies that reunited them.
food doesn't disappoint. it brings everyone together. so kids, next time when you're facing trouble with someone, food is the answer.
