A/N
Welcome to the mind of Alexander.
PN: I have no idea how a male thinks so please forgive me if how I imagined it works is nothing compared to how a male thinks or acts. Happy reading😏...

Alexander's POV

I watched Emma as she snored lightly, wrapped beneath the blanket I got for her. Her hair was all over the pillow and her face looked peaceful. She had something I never had in a while.

I was drawn back to reality when I heard her shuffle in the sheets. Her heart rate increased slightly and I could see she was waking up.

I turned my head to the glass door at the corner. It was late November and the time was getting colder than before. Sounds from the city below the kingdom crept inside from the window.

"Good morning!" I heard a feminine voice whisper.

"Hey, good morning. How are you feeling?" I asked her looking back at her.

She sat up.

"My back and neck are aching a bit, but I'm okay it'll go away soon I'm sure. She said massaging her neck.

"I'm sure you will feel better soon." I replied with a smile. She slept terribly. She was the reason I didn't get enough sleep. She kept twisting and turning in different sleeping positions, though I knew she was okay my vampire instincts wouldn't stop reacting."

"So, are you ready for what the rest of the day holds I asked.

"I'm not sure I am." She said as if she was deep in thought.

"You'll be fine, just trust me, I'm here for you."

I could see that she was still slightly afraid of me. I just had to make one mistake and she would be running away trying to escape. She was different, her fear made her take flight while most girls would freeze. She was tapping into her Posytyve side but that couldn't happen before the ceremony. I was curious about her.

"You don't have to be afraid of me Emma." I said snapping her out of thought.

"W- what!" she asked her eyes meeting mine.

I repeated the the statement.

"Yeah, I'm not scared as I was before." She told me.

I glanced over at the glass clock that rested in the opening of the wall.

"Is it really 10am?" I muttered to myself.

She stared at me.

"We have to get ready for the ceremony it's starting at sunset but we'll have to be there early." I told her.

"Okay!" Was her only reply.

She then got out of bed and walked to the glass door.  I watch her as she stared out at the city.

"I know you miss them and I wish I could take you back to them and the life you were used to." I told her as I listened to her thoughts and heartbeat.

  "What?!"

"Nothing! I said glad that she didn't hear me."

This caught her attention an she turned to face me.

"Are you sure there isn't a way I can see my family again?" She asked.

I somehow saw that question coming. I thought about it for a while. I remembered when I made an Orbyt to try and communicate with my mother. It failed because she had to have a feeling that I existed, but she didn't. I tossed it in a box and hid it away after that.
