Petr Goroshenko was in his disguise as a monk. He was actually starting to feel comfortable in it because people treated him like he was invisible. He knew that ship security was still looking for him and although the Koranthan monk persona was legit even prior to the crisis, he had even changed his appearance under the hood as well.
Things had calmed down since the incident and it was likely they didn't want to alarm people by shaking them down whenever they stepped outside their cabins. Nevertheless more security was present and it paid to keep a low profile.
He was taking a circuitous route to Central Plaza because of the door closures. Goroshenko knew this was no coincidence But figured that Orion was being cautious. He had several escape routes planned in case of surprises. Still, he wanted to find out what the girl's intentions were and to indicate that he bore her no ill will. In fact, as the journey from Earth reached its end point, he was more than ever sure he needed to part company with Gaulle and the shadowy group he was part of.
He wanted to communicate that to Orion, to let her know that he was done with things and she could be too. That she should join himself, Strasser and Ngyuen and whoever else that wished to leave the Organization. He wondered if they would all get that chance.
He opened his mind ever so slightly as he proceeded down the corridor to Central Plaza. Even if Orion did not physically recognize him, she would know his psi presence. The only problem was, within limited range, others with psi would know where of his presence too. It was why he'd stayed blocked for so long.
With his mind opened just a splinter, he passed the last cross intersection before the rendezvous point. It was here that Adisa and Adjani picked up his trail. They did not see Goroshenko but felt his weak signal and picked up the pursuit. Adisa was one deck down and charged up the stairs rather than wait for an elevator. Adjani was one corridor over and made his way over to the other side. They more or less arrived at the intersection at the same time and walked briskly together toward Central Plaza.
Goroshenko could see a few people milling about as the pressures doors remained closed ahead. He slowed his pace till he too was in holding pattern. His disguise was starting to feel like too little cover for what he was about to do.
