After Caroline promised she would be back the next day, she took her leave as she had an event to get too. Damon mumbled that he had places to be, while Stefan sat silently watching Artemis. Clapping her hands together, Bonnie drew Artemis' attention. "How about you two get settled in, and then you and I can practice some magic?" Asked Bonnie smiling at Artemis, said girl hesitated slightly before nodding slowly.
"I'll show you to your rooms," piped up Stefan which caused Artemis to stiffen. Which Stefan seemed to only notice, but he did note that she relaxed just a little. When Bonnie said that was a good idea, now he needed to know more than anything what Artemis' problem was with him.
Artemis and Leilani both walked out of the house, to grab their stuff yet it was just Artemis who grabbed her things. "Lei why aren't you getting your bags?" Leilani just smiled unapologetically, "Sorry Arti but E.J and Keon will be passing by, shortly and I'm gonna meet up with them. So we can continue on to Miami, just meet us there when your done here." Leilani said walking to the driver side, "are you serious? You can't just stay the night with me?" Asked a pissed off Artemis glaring at Leilani, "nope," was all she said before blowing Artemis a kiss and driving off.
Walking back into the house, Artemis looked sheepishly at the three confused people. "Leilani went ahead to Miami, because we couldn't cancel our reservation last minute." Covered Artemis which she knew, they probably didn't buy. Since even she didn't buy that excuse herself, yet no one called her bluff. She just silently followed Stefan upstairs, but stayed some distance away from him.
Once the two were out of sight, Klaus turned to Bonnie waiting for her explanation about earlier. "Her friend interfered with Artemis' magic, I have a feeling she's been doing that for a long time. Now that she's gone, Artemis hopefully will become more confident." Kissing the top of his wife's head, Klaus had the same feeling because he felt two different magics clashing earlier. If indeed Leilani was trying to dumb down, his daughter's powers well then he'll just have rip her heart out.
Smirking at the idea, Klaus instantly lost it when Bonnie slapped him on the arm. "You won't be killing anyone," she said giving him a knowing look. Which he just shrugged before leaving, once he was gone Bonnie sat down thinking about why Leilani would do that to Artemis?
Artemis silently followed behind Stefan, while burning holes into his back. Which he seemed to be aware of, because he stopped suddenly to look at her. Crashing into him caused her to gasp, as she was shown some gruesome visions of his past life. Stumbling backwards Artemis looked frightened, because she's never seen someone look so attractive while being so evil.
Without a word she silently entered the room, quickly closing the door behind her. Locking it she tried to calm her breathing, because she needed to have a clear minds for when she practiced with her mother. Looking around the room, Artemis noticed that the room considered of dark wood walls. A wrought iron four poster bed in the middle, windows on two of the walls and French doors leading to a balcony.
Artemis instantly felt at home in the room, because it almost resembled hers back home. Speaking of home she wondered when Lucy was arriving, because since Leilani was gone she needed someone familiar. Placing down her bags, Artemis sighed before unlocking the door and leaving the safety of the room. Thanking her lucky stars that Stefan was gone, Artemis made her way back downstairs and saw Bonnie waiting for her.
"You ready?" Nodding she followed her mother outside, the two stood awkwardly silent while Bonnie tried to figure out the right thing to say. "Um... Since we don't have an audience, let's see what you can really do." Smiled Bonnie encouraging Artemis, to show off her skills. Taking a deep breath Artemis tilted her head up to the sky, closing her eyes she began to chant softly.
Glancing upwards herself, Bonnie watched as the sky began to darken with the threat of rain. Within seconds large raindrops fell to the earth, while loud thunder claps boomed over head. What amazed Bonnie though, was the fact that her and Artemis were completely dry. Reaching her hand out Bonnie's arm immediately became wet, yet when she it brought back to her side it was instantly dried. Gaping at the instant dry Bonnie was about to say something, when all of her hair began to stand on end.
Which meant one thing, lightning was about to strike. Becoming frightened she was about to, book it back to the house. Yet as if sensing her mother's fear, Artemis looked at her and told her not to leave. Just as she voiced that, several lightning bolts began to strike the Earth mere feet from them. Inching closer to her daughter, Bonnie watched in awe at the light show.
As quickly as the storm had started, it was suddenly gone revealing a setting sun. The only indication there was even a storm, was the scorch marks left by the lightning on the ground. Clapping Bonnie hugged Artemis, "that was amazing! The fact that you could manipulate weather, on that grand of a scale shows promise. I'm so proud of you, with more practice and guidance you'll be the strongest witch in our line if not the world."
Feeling the tips of her ear become warm, Artemis smiled sheepishly and was about to say thanks. When a very soaked Stefan and a very soaked Damon, stopped in front of the mother and daughter. "I would just like to thank Storm here, for ruining my expensive outfit with her weather stunt." Griped Damon wringing out his black top, while Stefan rolled his eyes and smiled at her. Even though he was a little annoyed, that the storm ruined his hunt for a meal he was very impressed.
"Don't listen to him, what you did was really impressive. It was a little inconvenient of the timing since I was hunting, but it's all good I'll just wait a bit till the animals come back out." Making a slight noise Bonnie apologized, "crap sorry about that Stefan." Frowning in confusion Artemis asked what they meant, feeling neglected Damon jumped in before Stefan or Bonnie could say anything.
"My dear old brother here prefers, to eat Bambi the animal instead of a human Bambii." Looking at Stefan, Artemis was really confused because what she saw in her vision was him draining people. "But when I bumped into you I saw horrible things," she blurted out which surprised everyone. "What you saw was a past, that I wholeheartedly regret and want to forget. I have a blood addiction that only is connected to humans, so the only way I can survive without going back to those ways is with animal blood."
Mentally face palming Artemis, scolded herself for jumping to conclusions. She should have known that he wasn't, as bad as she had made him out to be. " I want to apologize for the way I've treated you, it's this habit I have I can sense the darkness in people." Stefan was about to accept her apology, when a rather large buck exited the forest and walked right up to him. "I hope he will do?" Artemis asked softly, while completely missing the surprised looks from the three others. Nodding dumbly Stefan smiled at her before, leading the buck back into the woods to feed.
"Hey can I my food delivered to me too?" Asked Damon who just got a loud no, from both Bonnie and Artemis at the same time. Which caused them both to laugh, while walking back into the boardinghouse. So Bonnie could show her some other, little spells that she's perfected over the years.
