The next morning Artemis found herself at the kitchen, while her dad was making breakfast. She stood at the threshold watching, as he whistled while flipping a pancake. "Are you just going to stand there love, or are you going to come over and ask whatever questions you may have?"
Smiling sheepishly she went and stood behind him, "um. Could you tell me how you and mom met?" This question caused Klaus to pause, but resumed seconds later. "I haven't thought about that in a long while," he said as he flipped another pancake.
"Your mother and I met when I was trying to activate, my werewolf gene. While your mother and her band of merry friends, tried to kill me and vice versa. I'm not a good man, admittedly I've done horrible things to everyone in this town. Bonnie was the only one that I ever really respected, because even though she wasn't really experienced. She never stopped trying to find new ways, of bringing me and my family down."
Artemis stared at him, in utter confusion. "But how? How did you two end up together, if you've both tried to kill each other?" Laughing Klaus placed the plate of pancakes, on the island before looking at her. "There is a very thin line between love and hate, and well there was an incident that caused us to join forces. During that time I truly saw how amazing, and incredibly intelligent she is. So the days of me scheming to kill her, changed into days of me trying to woo her. Until finally I wore her down, to the point of her agreeing to go out with me. Then like they say, the rest is history."
Artemis couldn't help smiling, at how her parents got together. She thanked him as he placed a plate in front of her, taking a bite she revelled at how fluffy the pancakes were. The two sat in a comfortable silence, but it was interrupted with Lucy yawning loudly. Putting down her fork, Artemis launched out of her seat. Hugging Lucy tightly as if, she hadn't seen the woman the previous day. Laughing Lucy hugged her back, while greeting Klaus.
Who just nodded at her, but paused when he saw the saddened look on Bonnie's face. He knew Artemis wasn't being malicious, about her actions but his heart ached for Bonnie. Sensing Klaus looking at her, Bonnie quickly changed her demeanour. Entering the kitchen Bonnie greeted everyone, grabbing her own plate she sat down next to Artemis.
They were talking lightly, when a loud crash came from the living room. Everyone made their way into the room quickly, a large rock sat in the middle of the room. Looking out the window, they saw a dark skinned woman preparing to send another rock into the room. So Klaus, Damon and Stefan sped outside, only to start burning immediately. Crying out in surprise, they sped back inside. "Fuck she's a damn witch," spat Damon while the skin on his face began to heal.
Wordlessly the three women walked outside, "who are you and why are you here?" Asked Bonnie glaring at the woman, who just smirked at her. "Who I am is of no concern to you, but I can tell you why I'm here. I was hired to kill Artemis, so Artemis let's get this over with." In perfect unison Bonnie and Lucy, both stepped in front of Artemis to shield her from the other witch.
