"Who's Basil?" Asked Damon who was looking out the living room window, gulping Artemis' hand once more. Bonnie tried to school concerned appearance, but she was failing miserably. "Basil is a warlock obsessed with power, apparently he believes that if he were to gain Artemis' power. He would then be able to rule the supernatural world, and then possibly the entire world." Explained Bonnie before continuing, "and he thinks Artemis is the key. That's why we sent her away, he came after Klaus and I a year before Artemis was born. We just knew that eventually, he would find out about Artemis. Unfortunately it was a lot sooner then what, we actually expected that when he found her. Her magic would have been a little more seasoned, that and hoped you would never have activated the wolf gene."

Pausing Bonnie shrugged and smiled grimly, "but we all know how things work. They never do, so now here we are." Looking at her mother, Artemis began to think. "So if I wasn't born, you guys would be living peacefully and Lucy would still be alive?" Standing up Bonnie looked at her daughter, "no don't think like that. Basil is just psychotic, you deserve to have a life. That is free of fear and destruction, you deserve to live a long life full of love." Urged Bonnie wanting Artemis to know, that she was not born to just to die at the hands of someone.

"Artemis Sheila Bennett-Mikaelson, please spare the lives of your family. Come out here and the only bloodshed, will be yours and the rest will be spared." Boomed a loud male voice dome outside, this caused the occupants of the Boardinghouse to look out the window. "There he is," growled Klaus glaring out the window at Basil. Who was flanked by his minions, licking his lips in anticipation Klaus left the house calmly. He was followed by the rest except Artemis, who Bonnie commanded to stay inside.

"Well it's good to see you two again, but I'm not here for you I'm here for your daughter." Spoke Basil while smirking at them, "now where is she?" Snorting Klaus rolled his blackened eyes, "don't worry about where she is. You should be worrying about us," laughing loudly Basil motioned for someone behind him. "Oh but I'm sure after she sees my daughter, she'll want to come out and play." He informed smirking widely, as he. Watched the shock form on their faces, before anyone could say anything. Artemis burst out of the house, looking so betrayed as she gazed at Leilani.

"I take it by the look on your faces, that you've already met my daughter Leilani." Spoke Basil as he gestured to her, Leilani smirked evilly as she stared at them. "This whole time Leilani? Was anything you said to me true?" Asked Artemis getting chocked up, "but of course. Artemis when I told you, I hated my dad I meant it." Leilani said scowling, and before anyone could react Basil's heart was laying on the ground. When he fell to the ground dead, Leilani gazed at his body without any remorse.

"I hated that man, and I hate you Artemis. Always have and always will. I was born just to be your friend, just so you don't reach your fucking potential. I never had a fucking life, because I was taught that if I wanted power you had to die. I had to hear about all of the bullshit, your powers could bring to that man." Spat Leilani spitting on Basil's corpse, "now that he's gone. That power he talked about, will be all mine." Cackled Leilani while sending everyone but Artemis flying, except she was magically glued to her spot.

"Your power is mine bitch," Leilani screamed while raising the dagger she had in her hand. Everything happened in slow motion, Artemis watched as her parents and friends. Banged on the barrier, that encased her and Leilani. Then her eyes connected with Stefan's, she watched as the concern and fear flash in his eyes. As the dagger connected with her stomach, closing her eyes Artemis cried out and fell to the ground. When nothing happened Leilani, started on confused that she didn't feel stronger. Backing up she became afraid, when her barrier disappeared. She knew she had to leave, before she was killed by the outraged family.

Not glancing back at them, she quickly fled into the forest. She had to regroup and find, another way to become stronger and how to take down Artemis' family. Bonnie collapsed next to Artemis' body, crying while Klaus' vision swam he gazed at his daughter's lifeless body. Caroline held onto Bonnie crying with her, and the Salvatore brothers watched on in pure disbelief.

A little later on they had Artemis' body, wrapped in a white sheet in front of the roaring fireplace. Once they had finally all gone to sleep, in the darkest hour of the morning. Artemis' body slowly rose up, so the sheet slid off her face revealing. Black eyes with writhing black vines, and sharp fangs that she continuously to run her tongue over.

Jerking awake Bonnie sat by upright, because something felt off as if a predator was watching her. Scanning the room she was about to, try and go back to sleep. When movement in the corner of the room, caught her attention causing her to get on the defence. Waving her hand the light flicked on, and a loud gasp left her mouth. As she stared at her daughter, frowning she got off the bed and walked slowly to her. "Artemis honey, how is this possible?" Bonnie asked gently as not to frighten the girl more, "My vampire part was triggered." Came Artemis' raspy reply, with widened eyes Bonnie brought Artemis into a bone crushing hug.

"We thought we lost you baby," cried Bonnie in Artemis' shoulder. Artemis for her part just stood there patting, her mother's back because didn't know what else to say. She was till feeling it of sorts, she remembered herself getting stabbed. She remembered how it felt when, the last of her life left her and then there was only black. It felt so surreal being back, but this hunger she felt was indescribable. "Mom I'm so hungry." Artemis said so quietly Bonnie almost missed it, pulling away from her Bonnie looked into the familiar face of a vampire.

Gulping slightly Bonnie backed up slowly, "okay baby stay right there." Backing out into the hallway, Bonnie never took her eyes off of Artemis. "Guys I need you to come here, and bring a blood bag." Yelled Bonnie which seemed to, get everyone to come to her room. "Why do you need a blood bag Bon?" Asked Caroline wiping the sleep from her eyes, unable to say anything Bonnie just pointed into her room. "Shut up!" Screamed Caroline entering the bedroom, Damon smirked entering behind Caroline. "Welcome to the dark side little one," he smirked while leaning against the wall.

Stefan was gone for a second, but returned with a blood bag in hand. He watched as Artemis stood there, vamped out but once their eyes met he felt a chill. It was like there was something off, seeing Artemis like that scared him. Silently he handed over the blood, and cringed slightly as she tore into the bag. "So we'll need to work on, the way you feed. Since right now it's so unladylike," gagged Damon pushing off the wall. Smiling awkwardly Caroline ushered Artemis, into the bathroom to clean up. While Bonnie texted Klaus, to get back because they had a slight problem.
