Journey of Two Best Freinds

Chapter 1

Millie's POV

I woke up to the sound of the alarm, it was probably the first time I was excited to hear an alarm wake me up because today was the day! I was going to visit my oldest most bestest friend in the world and yes that is a word, it can only describe our friendship to a T.

I haven't seen Verity for the past year as we are both on our last years of uni and had literally no social life, well apart from our daily messages we send each other. But finally the year 2020 has come and we have completely graduated. We've been planning our trip to South Korea these past years and finally it's come round and it's actually happening!

I had a shower and threw on a pair of jeans and an oversized shirt, comfort is key for travelling....actually for most daily activities. I grabbed my suitcase and my packed bag and took the train across England to Verity's house, in our home town.

Verity's POV

Getting distracted by drinking my tea there was a sudden knock on the door. I ran to open it and at the sight of each other, we both screamed and pulled each other into a hug. It feels so long since I've seen Millie, I can't wait to catch up these next two days and start creating new memories to add to our friendship in the next few weeks.

Readers POV

"Come in come in" Verity gestured as she helped Millie with her luggage, settling them into the living room.

"I can't believe we finally done it and we are off to our dream soon!" Millie squeals with excitement Verity agrees

The two friends spoke all evening catching up with what they missed and talking about what they should do in Korea. The special bond between the two was obvious, they have shared a memorable friendship since middle school. Finding how similar they were to each other as their friendship progressed, they couldn't help but have the same interests. They love to talk and celebrate the culture of Korea and the K-industry including kpop and kdramas. they both love BTS and would clap themselves as fully fledged "ARMY's". Ever since listening to BTS they have decided Korea is a place they need to travel back to for there friendship trip and re-live there childhood.

"You never know we might just bump into one of them or see a member across the street" Verity wished but both friends gave each-other a knowing look before bursting into laughter. "Even if we did we know I would collapse to the floor while having a complete freakout!" Millie explained laughing her head off. "That's so true, can you remember when you feel off your chair due to Taehyung's twitter video with the lip ring!" Verity's claim sent both into another fit of laughter. "Let's just hope we don't make a fool of ourselves, even though the possibility of seeing them is so slim it might as well be impossible" the girls giggle about it, not realising their dreams may come true.

"What if we see him?" Millie states quietly to herself.

"Millie don't get your hopes up, please," Verity says gently while sighs not wanting to see her best friend falling in the same trap as she normally does when thinking about the third member of their friendship group.

"I haven't yet, I'm just saying wouldn't it be nice if we saw him again? It would then truly be a proper childhood best friend trip." Millie smiles hope glinting her eyes.

Verity shakes her head sadly knowing she won't be able to protect Millie from her hopes "It would be great but I want you to realise that's a very small chance"

"I know, I know" Millie nods in agreement, still thinking about if they did actually meet them

Millie POV

"Mmmmm" rubbing my eyes to the sounds of fake love waking me up, looking at the time seeing it's 5 am, which is way to early for me. Grumbling about the time I sit up, only to suddenly remember the reasoning of this early wake-up call and I jumped out of bed and ran jumping on Verity's bed

"Wake up wake up! It's finally the day!"

"Five more minutes please"

"nooooo today is the day we go to Korea!!"

"Eeeeeekekk" we both scream together not believing it's finally happening.

"I shotgun the bathroom first!"

After a quick shower and after changing into a pair of joggers and oversized jumper I made us pancakes and toast for our breakfasts.

"Woah thanks, you're too sweet," Verity says as she walks in and grabs the toast I was about to eat! "what the beech? Your's is here!... By the way, love your outfit" I can never stay mad at her.

'Ping' you pull your phone out and see a message from Verity, you give her a suspicious look as you open it.

"Oh my gosh Verity, he's so cute! We're so lucky to be part of Army, waking up to pictures like these is what kept me going though uni, oh and this trip" you both laugh of how silly but so true your comment was.

"okay, the taxi should be here soon are you ready?" Verity states

"yep let me just go have the last check upstairs"

"Please don't tell me over the past year you turned into Namjoon, I stress enough about him losing things let alone the two of you" laughing at Verity's comment I went to check one last time, "no I'm checking cause I learnt from his mistakes" both laughing you exit and get in the taxi to the airport.
