Chapter 15

Readers POV

Millie sits staring in to the lake next to the countryside lodge with troublesome thoughts running across her mind. she can't help but think of the tension between her and Verity. Millie continues to frown thinking of the new things that have happened recently and the fact that she isn't able to share her experiences and worries with Verity.

Millies thoughts are interrupted by a loud rustle of bushes behind her, Jungkook in wolf form appears by her side, slowly pawing his way in to her personal space. Jungkook shoves his nose near her face, practically begging for attention, millie looks down at Jungkook with fondness, she lets the relief of familiarity of love in his eyes take over her brain.

Millie reaches out to stroke his soft furry head and neck, smiling as Jungkook contentedly closes his big brown wolf eyes in pleasure.

"Ah Jungkook, you're so soft and cute like this" millie says while scratching underneath his ear.

Jungkook huffs a breath of warm air in Millie's face and nips the towel from her head as it was left there after Millie forgot to take it off after her shower before breakfast. Millie jumps back slightly in shock as she forgot that she left the towel intertwined with her hair. Her hair falls over her face suddenly, she laughs as she scoops it out her face and back in to pace.

She then goes to reprimand jungkook but finds the he's suddenly back in human form with the hair towel wrapped around his waist with a cheeky smirk on his face and a shocked look in his eyes.

They both stare at each other for a few long seconds and then both burst out laughing at their silly interactions.

Millies POV

"You know, Jungkook, we still love you just as you are, no matter if you're wolf or not" I said, wanting to reassure Jungkook after he brought up his obvious change.

Jungkook held a happy smile and nudged millie with his shoulder gently "yeah i know, thank you. Im sorry i didn't share what was bothering me, I'm sure you understand now".

I nodded and gave him an understanding smile, i felt glad to be able to give him the support he needs now and grateful that i get to experience this amazing life change and experience with him.

"Hey anyway....whats this with you Yoongi huh? Finally living your vampire dreams right?" Jungkook says changing the subject with a raise of his eyebrows.

I feel myself get flustered and start to blush, are my feelings for Yoongi that obvious? I also get a funny feeling at the bottom of my belly, like intense and scary butterflies, Jungkook brought up my teen desire to become a vampire..I guess that dream could become a reality...

I shake my head to myself  as if to shake the intruding thoughts out of my brain, i feel silly thinking of actually becoming a vampire, stuff like that never happens to people like me..

I bite my lip and awkwardly answer Jungkook with a chuckle and go on to say "Me and yoongi are just friends...i don't know what your talking about, the fact that he's a vampire changes nothing"

I gulp hoping that answer was convincing enough, my mind sliding back to Yoongi's fangs and his dark eyes from this morning.

Readers POV

Jungkook smiles to himself, deciding not to tease Millie any further.

"Why were you out here anyway, you looked kinda glum when i found you here?" Jungkook asks

"Its Verity, I miss her and things are just shit, i don't know what to do. like i feel like i did the right thing on the night of the campfire, both Yoongi and her were acting like silly kids and i understand they have their differences that they need to sort. But she should understand that i didn't stay by her side because its awkward for me when she accused Yoongi wrongly, you know?"
