Chapter 13

Readers POV

Gentle Christmas music play softly in the background as gifts were given and jokes were shared. Namjoon, Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung sit back with pleased smiles on their faces, happy with the gifts they have received and the gifts they had prepared for others.

Giggles fly across the room as Verity crawls across the floor of the circle with a large bottle of brightly coloured alcohol in one of her hands that had she received from her secret santa. Even though it was meant to be a secret, she ended up thanking Millie as soon as she opened it as she knew Millie knew her drinking preferences well unlike the other members. Millie giggled happily and accepted the thank you hug from Verity and appeased Verity's mumbles of saying she would share it with her by humming and squeezing her in a hug before pushing her back over to her side of the circle.

Jimin helped Verity get back in to her place at the circle by taking the bottle of alcohol out of her hands with an impressed hum.

"Yah Jimin, save the drinking for later please.." Hobi teased him briefly but returned to his own unwrapped present in his hands as he placed it down. Hobi giggled and carried on "Thank you Santa, for these..i guess..haha..". He couldn't stop giggling in a shocked manner at the huge bag of un-popped popcorn kernels he had received. "I guess we could have a movie night while we are here huh?"

The younger members giggled in response and Millie and Taehyung both looked over to Hobi in excitement as the words movie night excite them but also the abundance of potential popcorn makes them even more excited at the suggestion.

Verity nervously tucks her hair behind her ear habitually, face slightly flushed from nervousness and uncomfortable feelings.

Yoongi has picked up the secret Santa present with his name labelled on the front, his face remaining neutral as usual. Yoongi quickly unwrapped his present and his face made no changes, he nodded as he looked at the t-shirt.

Taehyung excitedly grabbed the t-shirt out of Yoongi's hand exclaiming how cute he though it was and how it was such a nice gift. The other members in the room agreed with various sound effects and even Hobi approved of the item with a shocked cute face.

Things moved on quickly as Jin exclaimed "Where's my present? My turn next"

Yoongi placed his t-shirt folded nicely next to where he was sitting, he was silently pleased with his gift, glad that whoever bought him the gift understood that he didn't need anything extravagant and that he only really wants something that he know he'll wear. As he patted the t-shirt on the ground he realised he hadn't actually give any verbal response to the item he had received, feeling slightly guilty he tried to speak up but felt uncomfortable as the present giving had moved on to the other members. Yoongi decide to keep quiet and laced his hands together, leaning back on the couch to watch the other members with an amused quirk of his eyebrow. However, still feeling unsettled about his lack of manners, he set a mental note to thank the person who gave him the gift when names were revealed of who got what who.

Verity's POV

I huffed to myself feeling my forehead crease and tighten. I could feel the anger bubbling up inside me and also embarrassment too.

I knew Yoongi wouldn't like his gift, his reaction made me feel so embarrassed. He didn't even smile or anything. I really tried my hardest to get something that would suit him and all he did was nod and put it down..like he couldn't even care less.

Thinking about his reaction to my present made me realise that me and Yoongi don't even really communicate, he hardly speaks to me and he was acting off with Millie this afternoon! one thing on top of the other was making me feel more and more pissed. Who does he think he is being not making an effort with me and then being rude to me and then being rude to my best friend! I've had it, I'm tired of people being rude and uncaring, that's it... I will talk to him about this!
