Journey of Two Best Freinds

Chapter 2

Laughter with no care or embarrassment is the best kind in a friendship. Sharing an earphone each listening to music you both love and whipping out silly dance moves to make the other laugh. This was how the two best friends wait for the plane after going through security in the airport. Both girls settled in their seat and spend the 11-hour flight mostly sleeping, eating and watching films.

'Good morning ladies and gents, the flight has been delayed 15 minutes from landing due to an unexpected landing at the airport. Sorry for the inconvenience and I'll let you know if anything changes as soon as possible'

"mmm I just want to get out and stretch my legs now, this delay is stupid" Verity complains making Millie laugh.

"15 mins is not too long, soon we will be in Seoul! You must be excited!" Millie states jumping up and down in her seat.

"I am so excited! Are we going and dumping our stuff off at the hotel before going to get something to eat cause I'm hungry" Verity suggests, gazing at Millie hopefully with a cheeky smile.

"Thats a shout, actually before leaving the airport lets get a snack first cause aeroplane food does not fill you up like you want it to" Verity giggles at millie as she rubs her belly dramatically.

'Passengers you will be pleased to hear we are now preparing to land, please buckle your seatbelts and put any unnecessary items in storage where provided thank you.'

"Oh my gosh we are landing in Korea! We've done it!" Millie excitedly grabs on to Verity trying to contain her excitement.

Both girls got off the plane as quickly as possible looking in amazement with how things look different but familiar at the same time. Walking through arrivals they realised how busy and loud it was, they eventually came to a stop due to security blocking the way.

"What is all this about I'm super hungry and tired, all I want to do is explore a little bit then lay down forever!" Verity sighed with tiredness. Millie nodding in agreement trying to place her heavy backpack on her back in the midst of swarming crowds rushing past them.

Suddenly the girls woke up from the shock of the crowds as they heard high pitched screaming coming from the crowds.

"what is going on over there?" millie questioned.

"what..what if theres an attack?..or a fire?...or some massive animal?" Verity queried dramitcally.

Both of them trying to get a glimpse of whats happening through a sea of people.

Millie gave Verity a knowing look while giggling "Will you calm down, firstly security would be telling us where to go hide not left out in the open. Secondly, if it was a fire you would hear a fire alarm and again the security guys would push us outside. and thirdly....WTF Verity...a big animal...next you'll be saying BTS is here"

They both laughed at their silliness and after a few minutes the security has left and the sea of people started to finally move again. The girls noticed a convenient store in the corner of the airport and made a bee line to the food that will satisfy their hunger till dinner. Picking up a snack which they hope is what they like they make an exit to find the taxi to their hotel.

Finally, they arrive at the hotel after a long day and a long drive, the drive consisted of them sharing headphones, taking pictures and becoming excited for exploring in the days to come.

The girls thanked the driver and hurried into the hotel, moving to a lift once they received their room key and after a few attempts they finally opened the door. Even though they both had an 11-hour flight there is something comforting and relaxing about finally getting to your hotel room.
