Chapter 19

Multiple days pass leading up towards new years celebrations, Verity practises her witch skills with namjoon and taehyung, clicking her fingers and creating poofs of purple magic all other the lodge.

Other members and millie go around their days just chilling and appreciating the rest of the time they have together at the countryside lodge.

The days pass quickly and it's suddenly the evening of New Year's Eve. The close unit of brothers and friends surrounded by food, drinks and music are gathered in the large living room.

Jungkook wedged between verity and jimin, slowly sipping on high strength alcohol knowing that he has to drink this hardcore stuff to actually get him drunk....which is his aim tonight, to test how much alcohol will get his new wolf persona drunk.

Verity currently giggling at jimin downing his bubbly concoction of alcohol, obviously trying to impress her other his extensive alcohol limits.

He swigs the rest of his drink down and winks at her after he's finished his glass. Verity already tipsy on one and half glasses giggles at jimin's antics.

Even though verity has been busy for the most parts of the week, jimin has been quietly observing her progressing her skills with their leader and taehyung. Jimin feels proud of verity and loves the feeling of knowing that she seems to have made her place permanent in their pack even if its just with her supernatural powers, he knows no matter what happens in their future that she'll always be there.

Yoongi is at the table with the food, filling up a plate, trying to select different snacks that he knows millie would like. He wanted to grab her some food as she's busy DJ-ing the party, working hard as the party planner she truly is. he picks up a couple of cookies on the plate he knew they those snacks bought together and she likes those, he then makes his way over to her where she sits on the couch with her laptop.

he can't help but smile slightly to himself, fangs just peeking out on to his lips as he sees she has some of the beaded news years decor sitting round her neck like a necklace. yoongi places the plate on the table beside her without words and millie looks up at yoongi with silent shock, a pink flush making its way over her cheeks, as millie feels like she'll never get over yoongi's silent kindness and gestures towards her.

yoongi nods towards the food with his chin and mumbles to millie to "eat up", millie smiles to her self and shoves a mini sushi roll in her mouth to prove to yoongi that she's eating.

A loud playful bark resonates across the room as jungkook comes back in to the living room in wolf form, his paws bounce through the room and his tail is flapping on the ground with excitement. he finally found the right amount of alcohol to get him to feel tipsy, however its too much alcohol to keep him in his human state.

the group all melt at the wolfs playful cuteness and tae pats his legs to encourage him lay on his lap to get cuddled and played with, jungkook barks with happiness and lands heavily on taehyungs legs causing him to laugh and puff out of air the same time.

verity coos at jungkook from across the room where she's sitting closely next to jimin, her hand scratching and stroking jimins shorter hairs that sit on is scalp just above where his neck starts.

Verity's POV

"He's so cute, literally the same person in wolf and human form" i say to jimin as we both watch jungkook messing with tae.

"Mmm he's cute" Jimin repeats back quietly as if he isn't truly listening to what I'm saying.

I turn to look at Jimin and his face is a face of pure relaxation from where im scratching and playing with his hair, i feel the butterflies simmer in my stomach for what must be the thousandth time in the space of time we've known Jimin. The butterflies nudging me to feel confident in the way I feel with Jimin and how he feels with me, the way he just accepted me for who am, if that's being a witch or if i wasn't at all.
