chapter 5

He's looking over here" Anna muttered under her breath. We(Anna,Eve, and me) were sitting in the cafeteria with our lunch.

"Who?" I traced her gaze and I met Cody gaze. I whipped my head down as my cheeks heated up.

"He just looked away now"

Cody was sitting at a table with the ginger head boy that I met in the hallway yesterday with two other guys. They were talking and grinning with one another. Both of his friends looked my way and I whipped my head to my table.

I had spent most of yesterday classes with Cody and his friends. We had met at the hallway as I was making my way to French class when I had surprisingly got lost, this school was like a maze. We crossed path and he offered to walk me to class and we kinda just hit it from there. We even exchanged numbers.

He was really charming. I found out that ginger head over there was Eve's brother and Mia's ex.

"So what's the deal between you to?" Eve asked trying to figure out what happened.

"With who?" I ask trying to play dumb

"You know who so Don't play dumb with us Taylor" Eve said.

"Nothing" I muttered unconsciously smiling.

"That's not what your lips are saying" she said

"Alright" so I filled them in about the phone call yesterday with Cody.

"You go girl!"Anna said encouragingly "first day and you bagging up the captain of the football squad".

I smile but it doesn't last. I see Rebecca making an entrance with her lackies and they all sat down with Cody and his friends. Rebecca was clinging to Cody and he didn't seem to mind.

I totally forgot about them. I frowned.

As Mia sat down next to Ronnie he stood up and started walking out of the cafeteria.

Talk about drama

"What about Cody and Rebecca I thought they are.... You know together?" I asked my friends.

"They broke up but she wants them to get back together" Eve tells me "At least that's what i think".

As my eyes traveled round the room to be looking anywhere but Cody. I caught a glimpse of the guy that saved me and Anna from Victoria's onslaught. He was chatting on his table with a blond girl. Well she was doing most of the talking while he just sipped his drink while he stared right back at me.

Moments later we were having a stare down. I didn't want to drop my gaze. One thing about me was that I really hate losing even though it's a mere stare down contest.

"Taylor" Anna says shaking my arm as I lost concentration and snapped my attention at her.

"Mmmm.... Yeah"

"I can't believe he talked. That's a bit normal but he smiled" Anna said.

"Who" Eve asked trying to follow up.

She pointed at the guy and the Blondie.

"Wait he smiled!!!" she scream whispered "I only heard that he told Mia off because she was being well Mia".

"Yeah........ its not like its a big deal........ I mean he doesn't look like the type that doesn't talk..... Much" I guess.

"That's the point he doesn't really talk to people,Half of the girl's in this town would actually die just to be with him" Anna said but her eyes where looking on so dreamy "don't ask me why cause I don't know either".
