I sit on the bench, in a daze. Min-Seok is all over in the news. He's still not yet awake.
I am scared. My mind isn't here and I have a game starting in 5 minutes.
"Do this for me please." Hani sits beside me on the bench, putting on her shoes.
"What?" I look at her, Ji-Hyo sits next to her. Ji-Hyo often come to watch our games, she's busy with Nationals Women's soccer and coaching an elementary school boys team.
"Do this for us, do this for Xiumin." Ji-Hyo reaches out and put her hand over mine, "we need our captain." Hani pats my back.
I appointed Hani as vice-captain, she has leadership skills and she understands the way I lead the team.
I take in a deep breath and stood up from the bench.
I need to focus.
"Chae-Rin." I turn around to see Han-Bin with his friends, "annyeonghaseyo." Ji-Hyo and Hani stood up to bow.
I haven't seen Han-Bin in awhile, because of my hiding and I leave the arena as fast as I can.
"I am sorry, I didn't believe you were dating an idol." Han-Bin apologises.
Ji-Hyo burst out laughing, "it's okay, we too." She pointed to herself then Hani. I flash a small smile at him, "he's a lucky guy."
I nod my head, we aren't dating anymore... I wish we are though.
"Did you forgot to bring your knee guard?" Han-Bin then points to my leg. Ever since my meniscus sprain injury, I have been wearing a knee sleeve to help support and keep it protected.
But I forgot it today. It slip my mind.
"I should be fine without it." I shrug.
I was wrong. The game that we had was one of the most toughest game this season, I was elbowed so many times that my nose bled onto my white jersey. My knee starts to hurt at the repetitive running due to the number of turnovers we have.
We won by a three point at the end of the match.
I fell onto my knees, my teammates lay on the ground, emotional about the win. That's it, one more game and we are crowned as champions.
I put my hands on my hips, panting badly. "Baek Chae-Rin, as captain, what are your feelings right now?" The reporters run up to me with their cameramen.
"We fought really hard." I looked at the camera with a small smile on my face, "you have a new career game high and you have a different look on your face today? May I ask what's the cause of it?"
"My significant other." I simply answered, "I can't do everything well... But I have to at least play well."
I went back home and took a warm shower. I then iced my knee for awhile before I join the team for our celebratory dinner later on.
After dinner, I went straight for the hospital. I would've skip dinner as I know I wouldn't eat much, but I am the captain.
"Noona, I saw your game on your television. How's your nose? You were great!" Chanyeol approaches me immediately when I step out from the elevator.
"Gomawo." I smiled, "you should come watch our last game, I think it will be interesting." I suggested.
"The tickets are sold out." I pout in response, maybe I can pull some strings. "It's okay, how's Min-Seok—"
"My significant other?" Jun-Myeon mimics my tone from my interview, "yah, you have some nerve, Noona." He laughs. "Legendary." Yi-Xing put his thumbs up.
