I ran my frozen finger tips through my fire truck red hair before gulping in one more breath of the ice cold air that engulfed me.

I felt the goosebumps appear. They weren't aided by the cold but by my fear.

"Come on Scar" I mumbled, taking a step away from the door.

I gave up and slid my back down the freezing lockers. My back burned as the ice pierced through my thin school shirt.

Sighing heavily, I covered my face with my hands.

"Scarlett Waters! Get off the floor" demanded Mrs.Donnis. She was a grouchy woman.

Donnis stood proud before me, hands on the hips of her beige pants suit. Her sandy blonde hair, lined with streaks of silver sat neatly in her bun, not daring to let a hair fall out of place as she tapped her foot at me. He white shoes shone the same as the pearls that were draped perfectly around he neck.

"Sorry Ma'm" I mumbled, pulling myself off the floor. I placed my hand around my skirt, checking the pleats were all in place.

"Scarlett, class" Donnis nodded firmly.

Her eyes softened as she saw tears prick up in my eyes.

"Is it the boys again?" She asked, careful examining my face.

"Yes miss, they just won't stop" I mumbled as I ran a finger below my eye, checking my eyeliner hadn't smudged.

"Scarlett, show no fear, no emotion towards them. If that doesn't help just grin at them sarcastically" Donnis smiled.

She was a harsh witch but she understood. She understood the feelings this group placed upon me.

"Scar you can do this. You can. No fear. You're strong" I thought to myself.

I sighed, deeply inhaling the icy air before flashing Donnis a smile.

I gripped the brass door knob and exhaled.

"Miss Waters, welcome" smiled my music teacher, Mr. Fee. He simply insisted we called him Dave.

He shot me a sympathetic smile as I turned to my assigned seat, right between ben and Danny.

Before I could sit down my chair had already been pulled out from under me, causing me to collapse in a heap on the musky grey carpet. I felt a flash of anger with such a poison it needed to be kept in.

"Which one of you cunts pulled that unoriginal excuse for a prank?" I scoffed, picking myself up onto my chair.

Ben was laughing hysterically alongside Danny.

I felt my blood boil as I settled into my seat.

"*cough* slag *cough*" laughed ben under his breath.

My golden eyes met his hazel gaze.

I NEVER made eye contact so Ben was slightly taken back.

My eyes narrowed, piercing through his skull.

Sam, the quiet one of the group shot me an encouraging smile.

I felt bad for the guy, this wasn't him. He was sincerely nice, but I guess he had to go along with the rest of the boys to keep his popularity.

Danny noticed our shared smile and raised his eyebrow.

I nodded ever so lightly at Sam, his eyes filled with shame as he understood what he needed to do.

"Freak" Sam laughed, catching my eye contact before flashing "sorry" eyes at me.

"Dick" I smirked
