I ran my hand through the mane of my horse.

My fingers curled and weaved through the fine hairs, it was relaxing. Brushing down my boy, it was something pleasing to me. It was mediating. This was calming me and it was calming me in the best way. My beautiful Thoroughbred black baby boy was something special to me. Four years of age, he was born through the one thing that kept me happy in this place.

The stable was built around my 13th birthday by the King and Queen and I began breeding and taking care of horses. I had a lot of responsibility with it. After many arguments with my dad, I couldn't have a dog or a cat, or a bunny, I decided horses would be my pet. I couldn't do small pets, I had to have something big. And a horse was certainly big.

Beau, my beautiful boy, was the first successful breeding between my first horse and another horse from a stable two county's over. I had three in my current stable, Sheeleigh my first female horse who was a Thoroughbred herself, a lucky find when I was younger. I had another male, he was a Mustang named Dominic. The Queen looked after Dom most days whilst I looked after Sheeleigh and Beau.

Beau was ready for a run, I got that by his constant need to be walking around the stable he lived in. I patted his forehead and placed his reigns on and over his face. Saddling him up, I walked him out of his stable and down the corridor of the stables. I tied his reigns to a safe space, whilst I placed on my riding boots and helmet.

I clipped on the helmet, under my chin and looked up. She was truly something, beauty, grace and honestly could be miss universe. I smiled and gave a quick curtsey, as I saw a few people milling around the stables.

"Your majesty," I curtsied.

"Nyla," She smiled, as she walked closer towards me.

Beau neighed loudly, as she came over to give him a quick pat. Something about animals could sense another animal, but he let she pat him. There was always something strange about any wolf patting him, he would only let Spencer croft pat him and that was it. Not even Conri had his permission to pat him. Beau only had his favourites and it was clear it was me and Spencer.

"Out for a stroll?" I ask, taking Beau's reigns in my hands and guiding him to the sunshine that was streaming down outside the stable.

"You could say that." She replied, bowing her head occasionally to those that were around.

"Conri told you what happened, didn't he?" I stopped in my tracks and looked at her.

"I've known for years what you have felt for my son, Nyla." She smiled sweetly at me.

"Mothers intuition?"

"Exactly." She chuckled and motioned for us to continue to walk.

We continued down the path towards the open fields that I would ride Beau in. It was the one thing that had to be made specifically for me, besides the stables. I wasn't allowed to roam around the forest or ride my horses outside the palace unless there was a guard around to protect me.

She opened the gate for Beau and myself to enter the open field. The sun shone down on the open field and the green grass moved with the small breeze from the wind. It was a truly beautiful summer day and my skin was enjoying it too much. I could feel the burn from the sun and I knew I would have some burn from it. I was pale and preferred winter.

"How long have you known?" I asked Spencer.

"I've known since the moment you returned back to the palace after the day at the riverbank. You had this look in your eyes and you had this aura around you. I knew something changed in the way you looked at my son." She leaned against the wooden fencing around the field.
