My palms were sweaty.

I had been wiping them constantly for the pass ten minutes. Despite holding a folder with a shit tone of paper in it, my hands couldn't quiet grip it as such. I was beyond nervous right now. I mean how could you not. I was standing outside Alpha Gerard's office, in the Packhouse not the family home. I was about to propose my proposal for the corner store.

I was so prepared but somehow my body didn't feel like it was.

I took a deep breath in and wrapped my fingers into a fist, knocking gently on the door before me. Knocking three times and waiting for a response was extremely nerve-racking. It seemed like an eternity before I even heard a voice, let alone decided to make a move into the room. I shouldn't be nerves, I mean, Alpha Gerard was- is- family. Or at least soon to be family.

"Come in." Alpha Gerard said from behind the double oak doors.

They were solid and extremely heavy for someone without super abilities. I push on the handle, giving the door a hard nudge open. I walk in, sweaty palms and all, into the Alpha's office. It seemed different to the one back in the house. Everything was sleek and somewhat modern, whereas the house office had vintage elements and worn desks.

"Ah, Lady Nyla." Alpha Gerard's voice caught me from staring around the room. I immediately notice that there was another presence in the room. Uncle Gerard would never use my title and he would never call me Luna until the mating and ceremony and all that jazz.

I looked beside the desk and saw Leon standing there, he was looking over onto the desk at something Alpha Gerard had opened. But there was no Barrett around, just Leon. He was dressed in a nice pair of light grey dress pants, white button up shirt with a few buttons undone. Today my heart actually stopped, it stopped for the man before me and my sexual desire started to grow.

It was something I never thought would happen. In a million years, I had never been attracted to him nor even Barrett. But today, I couldn't even muster up to speak to his dad. Just his presence in the room was taking all the courage I could get to even speak to his dad. He was handsome and something that I wanted to sink my teeth into... Not that I had teeth to sink into, but you get what I mean.

"Umm..." I cough to try and gain some composure. "Alpha Gerard, I can see you're busy. So, I'll leave you alone..." I start to back out of the room because there was no way I was going to speak to Alpha Gerard with Leon in the room.

"No, no." Alpha Gerard gestures for me to stay in the room. "You are most certainly not interrupting anything. Alpha Leon and I were just discussing a few things, what can I help you with?"

I lifted my head and looked at Alpha Gerard and not Leon. "I was wondering if I could borrow a couple of minutes to discuss something." I quickly glanced at Leon and then back to Alpha Gerard. "In private, if that's alright?"

"Certainly, Nyla." Alpha Gerard says, turning to his son.

"I'll leave you two alone." Leon bows his head slightly to his father. "Father." He turns and walks towards me. "Nyla." And he kisses my forehead quickly, before leaving the office space and finally allowing me to breathe in some air without Leon's suffocating presence.

I never thought of it as suffocating, but him being in a room with his father was something very powerful. So much power in one room could be felt from the pair of them. I've never felt like that before, being the weakest in the room. Or at least, I seemed to be the weakest in the room.

I sat down on a leather sofa chair before Alpha Gerard's desk. "I'm sorry to be interrupting," I start, "I've come today with a proposal to help with the funding for rebuilding some of the outer houses."
