Things had slowly been playing out.... kind of similar to how they should.
Everybody had arrived in the End, spotting Soren in the distance. Jesse had lead them through the large mob of Enderman, with Petra and Lukas mostly sticking to the back.
It was beginning to become harder for Petra to walk. Just a small distance left her completely out of breath, her muscles begging her to stop. Instead of letting herself become concerned about how quickly she was deteriorating, Petra had forced on through her exhaustion.
The group had arrived in the strange wool world that Soren had built. Lukas was completely baffled at the sights, every so often rubbing his eyes like he thought he was hallucinating.
Petra had been able to see Jesse almost trembling with rage, shooting Petra occasional glares the entire time. She clearly knew things that were supposed to happening, weren't, and that left her furious.
With a foul expression on her face, Jesse had started walking around the room, looking for the levers she knew she had to flip. Every now and then glancing back at Lukas and Petra, her scowl increasing every time.
"You weren't kidding about Soren being a little... well, off." Lukas muttered to Petra, absent-mindedly running his hand across the brown wool of a tree's base.
"Now that is an understatement." Petra muttered, leaning back against another wool tree. She was sitting on the ground, with her legs crossed beneath her. "Just wait until you meet the guy. He's absolutely nuts."
"It's a good thing the two of us aren't here for him then." Lukas replied, turning away from the tree so he was facing Petra. "So tell me, this formidi-bomb thing... is that how Jesse took it down?"
Petra let out a long sigh, pulling her bandanna off so she could rake her fingers through her still slightly damp red hair.
"No, in fact... we're not even close to the time where Jesse actually destroyed the thing."
"What?" Lukas asked in surprise.
"The bomb won't kill the Wither Storm." Petra explained. "It'll completely split it into three instead. Ivor then pops out out of nowhere with a fail-safe for actually destroying it."
"Good grief, and here I thought we were close to done." Lukas muttered.
"Well, if we succeed in finding anything in here on time travel, we'll end this before the final battle is even near." Petra responded matter-of-factly, pulling her bandanna back over her head. She sighed softly. "Besides... If we don't end this soon, I won't live to see the final battle a second time."
"Hey everyone! I think found Soren's way out!"
They lifted their heads upon hearing Jesse call out. Lukas held his hand out to Petra, pulling her to her feet. They slowly walked up to the rest of the group.
Jesse didn't even bother waiting for Petra or Lukas to speak this time, simply just marching inside. The others followed her in, Olivia immediately gravitating towards the door where the music was coming from. Jesse walked over to her, while the rest of them left the main hall, into another large room.
Axel looked around him in awe, his mouth half-open. Petra had a feeling he wasn't acting that out all on his own, clearly he was actually amazed. Perfect distraction.
"So, where's this library?" Lukas whispered to her, keeping his voice down as he subtly glanced over at the big guy.
"Through the next door." Petra whispered back.
She looked back over at Axel, who was still mesmerized by the weird paintings on the wall, before gesturing for Lukas to follow her quietly into the next door. Reuben, who hadn't followed Jesse and Olivia, trotted after them.
