As I escaped the flashback, I looked around to see rats, cobwebs and pretty much every last nasty messy thing you'd find in a abandoned place.
"Yeah it's awful." I said.
"Jason! Underwood! Keep up with the group!" yelled our teacher, Mr Kéntauros.
As we scrambled our way up ,the tour guide was pointing to a statue of what looked like a satyr? I think... Yep horns, goat legs with hooves as feet. Definitely a satyr. But then again it could be a faun. I raised my hand.
"Yes, young man?" The tour guide looked at me, desperate and shocked at the same time. She must not have got a lot of questions. But then again it is a boring thing, people were probably just ignoring her.
" Is it a faun or a satyr?" I asked.
"I'm sorry?" she said.
"The statue, is it a faun or a satyr?" I repeated.
" Oh I'm afraid I don't know -" she began but was interrupted.
" Ah! A boy eager to learn. Well you see it is actually a satyr. You can tell as he is carrying a wine glass which is the sign of-"
I cut her off, " Dionysus, the god of wine. Of course! Satyrs worshipped Dionysus whereas Fauns worshipped Pan. Well actually they worshipped his Roman form Faunus. Fauns are Roman, Satyrs are Greek."
Mr Kéntauros and the tour guide raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. Most of the class just said "Nerd" behind my back. Sola nodded in satisfaction and a guy at the back smiled.
The new kid. I looked at his name tag to see a name. Percy. Instantly I thought of the Greek Hero Perseus. Okay let's get one thing straight. I LOVE Greek Mythology. I grew up on it.
There wasn't a lot of us just 13 actually. I go to a small private school so there isn't that many people.
It was at the end of the tour that the whole mess began.
Muahahhahahahahahaaha!!!!! Okay there's gonna be a part 3 if you guys are lucky I may do it today but who knows!?! XD IMMA EVIL!!!!
