Echo's POV
I wake up to a loud knock on my front door. I try to get up to answer it but am trapped under a heavy weight, slung around my waist - how did I not notice this before?
I think back to the events of last night and how me and Jonah ended up falling asleep together. I slowly pick up his arm but that only makes him grip me tighter; shit.
"Jonah? Hey Jonah you gotta wake up darlin." My voice is a little bit above a whisper; nothin.
"Jonah, wake up you toad!" I say a little louder. Soon enough there is a laugh at my bedroom doorway.
"Toad? Really Echo?" The mystery person asks - wait I know that voice!
"Jack?"
"The one and only." Oh thank god
"I'm pretty sure there's more Jack's out there on the big, beautiful place we call earth."
"What about aliens? There could be aliens named Jack." Oh god he's been around Corbyn too much.
"My apologies. In the big, beautiful place we call the solar system."
"Mmm, yea that's better."
"Thanks, now could you possibly help me out a bit?" I hear another laugh from him then foot steps.
"Sure, whatcha need?" I gesture down to Jonah's arm and he nods in silent agreement; I like it.
I'm soon free from the weight of Jonah's arm and can finally breath properly again. "Thank you for getting me out of there. Ya know beyond popular belief, that position is really uncomfy."
He gives me a closed smile and I lead him out to the living room. "So.. what are you doing here? Not to sound rude or anything." I say as I plop down onto my favorite spot on the couch.
"Jonah texted me last night asking me to pick him up in the morning. Somthing about he was helping you and didn't actually drive himself? I don't know." I nod understandingly, knowing exactly what he's talking about.
"Yeah, yeah, I understand."
"What was he helping you with? If you don't mind me asking that is." I shift uncomfortably and curse under my breath.
"Oh it was nothing, don't worry about it. So what have you been up too?" I ask switching the subject of the conversation.
--
Me and Jack have been sitting on my couch talking for the last 45 minutes, before I hear my name being lightly called from my room; Jonah's awake.
"I'm in the living room Hoenah." I hear a groan then the light pitter-patter of his feet against my wooden floors.
"Oh, you're here!"
"Don't sound to excited Jo, it's only one of the many Jacks." Me and Jack give each other a look then break out laughing.
"Um, okay then, do I want to know?" I shake my head no and he sits down on the other, two-seater couch. "So whatcha been talking about?"
