Echo's POV
Me and Christina spent the rest of the day planning and decided to throw the party tomorrow instead of today.
"Damn, I didn't realize that throwing a party is such hard work." Christina complains dramatically.
"Have you never thrown a party before?" I question, looking at her from across the couch.
"No- well yes, once. But I usually just get invited to them, I don't like hosting them very much." She explains, with a yawn.
"Was planning it really that much work?" I joke, causing her to - jokingly - kick me in the leg.
"Yes it was." She huffs and crosses her arms against her body dramatically.
We're deep in conversation when we hear the front door open and fits of laughter fill the home.
Corbyn and Jonah walk into the living room and plop down on the couch next to us.
"You two seem to be getting along rather nicely." Corbyn marvels, giving Christina a kiss on the cheek.
"Hell yeah! She's really fun to talk to we actually have a lot in common." Christina exclaims with a smile.
"Oh my god. You are literally the nicest person ever, you know that?" I rejoice. "Corbyn, you got a good one! I'm gonna tell you this now you don't marry her, I will!"
We all laugh and carry into a light-hearted joking conversation.
"Ah, by the way, where are the other three?" I ask no one in particular. "I haven't seen them in the time you've been back."
"They were really tired, so they just headed up to bed once we got here. It was a long day." Jonah explains with a yawn at the end.
"Seems like you're tired too. How about you head up to bed?" I suggest with a smile.
"Yeah, I will I guess." He nods with another yawn.
"We're gonna head up too then." Christina says standing up with Corbyn. "Goodnight."
We exchange good nights and Christina gives me a small wave as her and Corbyn disappear up the stairs.
"Are you gonna be heading up to bed soon too?" Jonah asks me once we hear Corbyn's door shut.
"Uh, I'm not sure." I shrug "I might head back to my apartment and sleep there tonight."
"Are you sure? Do you think you're ready to be by yourself?" He asks worriedly.
"I said I might. Besides it kinda late so I might stay here." I shrug.
"Okay, well either way I'll check up on you in the morning and we could, maybe, go get breakfast?" He stutters out timidly.
"Yeah, that'd be great. I'll text you if I end up going to my apartment." I smile.
"Okay, sounds food- good, I meant good. It sounds good." He stammers, clearly embarrassed.
I notice his face is flushed and a pink blush of embarrassment washes over his cheeks; he kinda, sorta, looks cute. In a friend way of course; right?
"Its already, I knew what you meant." I giggle.
"Okay, well, I'm going to go to bed before I embarrass myself further. Goodnight Echo." He jokes, still cleanly embarrassed.
"Okay," I laugh. "night Jojo."
