73. The Things We Can Not See

At Newton High School, everyone is different in their own way. 

Joey and Elise couldn't feel more like outcasts. 

Elise Abernathy is a visually impaired girl who doesn't really know her place in life. Everything is a jumble of mock happiness and lies. No one can know what she feels, what she thinks or what she hides behind those smiles. Everyone thinks, in her life, it never rains. 

Joey Rewfae is got a lot of weight on his shoulders. College, resumes, high school, new step siblings, his dad, possible depression and the possibility he might be in love. Plus, his visual impairment. Everything seems to be piling down on him in big, chunky storms. 

In an on and off relationship like this one, things seem predictable. 

Or so some think. . .
