Chapter 21: missing piece

i drove past the lit up buildings, my clothes were covered in that pig of a man's blood, i shuddered, 'at least ill be getting paid', i dialed boss's number, "ok gather them now i need the meeting", i pulled up to the garage, i put in the code, i drove in and parked my car, i jumped out of my car, i walked to my room and removed the dress, i stayed in my black suit, i walked up to boss's office, when i walked in i saw the group and 2 other people, "who are they?", "well theyre secretaries", "nope get them out this is classified information", "but its our job to be here and record what is said", i looked at her, she said it in the most cocky tone i ever heard, "GET OUT!", my yelling sounded more like a roar, the 2 women looked terrified, i glared at them, the group looked surprised, i sighed, the 2 women left, i had a guard take them out and keep people away from the door, "now can we move on with the meeting?", they all nodded, "i can only guess that you guys were wondering where i was when i disappeared", "WHERE WERE YOU?!?!", they yelled in unison, "ill answer in one word........space", they looked shocked, max started laughing, "this is a joke", he looked at my serious facial expression,"right?", i shook my head, "ill explain the story, but i have to let you know that there is something coming to earth to kill us", they looked scared, i told them exactly what happened, "now my friends are in space fighting for their and every other species in this universe's lives", they looked shocked, "when the galra arrive we have to be able to fight, i had gray send me some blue prints for weapons and ways to advance our technology, i need the smartest and best people to help me, i already know how this stuff is set up and how it works i just need the best", 

max piped up, "my men, i have amazingly smart men they can help you!", i smiled, "then theyre in", "i have connections to some people so ill help you", i grinned at the monotoned tired voice of alex, "there are some people here that can help", i nodded at boss, he smiled, "ok this is great, now everyone lets get to bed!", after everyone left i snuck down to gray, she was lying down, i walked up to her and touched her lips to get in, she didnt move, i put my fingers under her lips to pray they open, nothing happened, i slumped now, "what is it gray?" nothing, "why arent you talking to me?", i groaned, i touched her again, i tried to connect with her but the connection was broken with her, the connection we had was gone, when i realized that i put my hands over my mouth, tears started streaming down my face, a loud sob escaped my lips, "gray", i softly whispered her name, i looked up at my beautiful lion, i sighed, i slumped against her metal paw, the cold metal touched my thin black suit, i shivered at the icy cold touch, there was a window showing the streets, all i could look at was the moon, i looked at the stars and thought of how hard they must be fighting, i looked at gray's face again, the way the moonlight reflected off the metallic gray made her look so mysterious, she looked graceful and ancient, a small smile danced its way across my face, i laid my head back on her paw, my eyes stared at the white almost gray moon, i smiled as my heavy eyes closed, drifting off to the adventures of the land of sleep, 

i felt warm, i opened my eyes, the sun blinded me, i jumped back hitting my head on grays paw, i felt her move but i knew that couldnt happen, 'our bond broke', the memory from last night made my heart ache, i felt a shade go over my body, i opened my eyes slowly waiting for the sun, i opened my eyes fully to see gray using her paw as a shield from the sun, i looked up at her face, i saw her eyes looked more alive, "gray?", 'yes?", i jumped at her calming voice, a large grin plastered on my face, i jumped onto her paw that wasnt shielding me, i hugged her leg tightly, 'i couldnt stay mad at that cute crying face, so i forged our bond once again', i stared at her, "you broke our bond?", my voice was soft but loud enough to her, ' i did it because you havent been visiting me, its as if you have forgotten i am here', i heard the pain in her voice, but what she didnt realize was that if i lost her i would be lost to, "i.i.if i l.l.l.l.lost you i dont know what i would d.d.do", i stuttered to get the sentence out while holding in a sob, i could feel her warm aura around me,i tried to hold the dam from breaking, but it flooded, i started to cry like a child, loud sobs and sniffles, i hic uped a few times, i looked at her, ' youre so cute when you cry, your puffy eyes, little red nose and cheeks, but it makes me sad to see you cry', i nodded at her, i wiped my wet eyes, "please dont do that again, i will visit more i just have work and stuff", i could feel her smiling, "i have to go but ill visit you tonight too!", i left while waving at her,
