Chapter 26: hurting but still loving pt 3

5 days later, 

i walked to my classroom, as i entered i saw everyone in their stance with their partners, they were fighting like i had taught them, i smiled, "good job cadets, keep it up, youll be the best fighters!", i sensed someone behind me, they started to come toward me, they started to run, i turned to the side, i grabbed their arm and twisted it, i looked at the person twitching on the ground from pain, "kristie!, damn im sorry", "nah its all good, i shouldnt have tried that", i chuckled, "lets get back to work cadet", she got up and walked to her partner, i watched as they fought, i smiled even more, i walked around checking their stances, "nice", i stood back, when i got bored i started to fight with a dumby they have, i got so much into i accidentally said something, "start training sequence 6", i paused, i covered my mouth, the cadets looked at me, "up in the castle of lions they had a training deck that was extremely advanced, i could control it with my voice", i blushed, they smiled, "thats sooo cool", a girl named rose yelled out, i smiled, "now get back to work cadets" they went back to fighting, krolia walked into the room, "cadets meet in my room, you will have a test", "wow a surprise test krolia?", she chuckled, once all the cadets left she grabbed me before i could leave, "voltron arrives tonight", "wait, for real?", she nodded, we walked into the room, krolia started up their test, they had to fight krolia, after 2 people she turned to me, "scarlet im too easy, soou come and fight them, but dont go easy", i nodded, surprisingly people passed the test, when rose came up to fight the the alarms went off, "everyone protocol", they ran to their stations, i dragged krolia to the front, we looked out the window, there were galra ships swarming the skies, "shit", the commander tried to use the normal defenses, i sighed, "i shouldnt use gray until voltron gets here, i shouldnt waste power", krolia nodded, 

"normal weapons dont work", i looked out the ion canon was powering up, my eyes widened, "im going outside", i ran out, i put up a force field protecting the garrison, i held it up, "krolia, you remember how to make a particle barrier?", "yes", " find the four corners and start to build it, ill expand the field, hurry i dont think i can hold it long", she nodded and ran, once the particle barrier was up i used some of my magic to make it stronger, the ion cannon blasted the garrison, i gathered the students so we could fight, we fought and fought but it was no use, i couldnt get to gray, plus she wont be at her best without voltron, the galran soldiers invaded our base, most of us were captured, including me, they threw me into a dark cell, their base is on earth underground, im sitting in my dark cell, 'god i hope voltron gets here soon', i pulled my legs to my chest, 'gray can you hear me?', 'yes', 'are you hidden?', 'yes, they cant find me', 'good, stay hidden', 'understood', 'and keep an eye out for voltron, we need the badly', 'you got it', i chuckled, i laid my head back, i could only think about lance, 'god im still in love with him, but my mission comes before anything', the guards came and took me to an arena, i walked out and saw galrans surrounding the arena, "shit, this is a fighting arena like with shiro", 'shit, shit, SHIT!!', they armed me with a small sword, i groaned, a large beast of a galran walked onto the arena, "fuck me", i put my hand on my forehead, the man charged at me, i dodged his attack, he found a way to land an attack on me, i fell to the ground, i was wheezing, 'that was a hard hit', i jumped back up, i dodged his other attack, i attacked him, i was too fast, i was able to take him out but i still got damaged severely, they walked me back to my cell, they threw me in, dirt got into my injuries, i looked down, "shit thats gonna get infected", i created cotton, i made a little whole in the ground, i laid some vines and leaves down, i filled that with water, i created some medicine from some plants, 

i mixed some water and the medicine, i dipped the cotton into the water medicine mix, i cleaned my wounds, they started to heal by the help of shadow and cora, i laid back, "where the hell are you voltron?", after another week of being tortured, forced to fight to the death, and being starved, voltron has not shown up, i was losing hope, i lost connection to gray, i fought with everything in me, i walked back to my cell, some guards past me, "hey did you hear about that base being trashed by voltron, im glad they cant find us", i paused, my heart skipped a beat, they looked back at me, i continued to walk to my cell, i opened the door to my cell and walked in, i sat down in the dark,'they are here, i just need to wait', i curled up in the corner, i fell asleep quick, only 2 days later voltron invaded the base, i was stuck in my cell, lance and keith tried to open the cell, as they failed i charged up my powers, "stand back boys", i shot the door out of the frame, they looked shocked, im so glad i had my blade uniform on, it covers my face luckily, "lets get the others the hell out of here", they nodded, we loaded all the prisoners into cars they had brought, i looked around, "where are the lions?, and shiro?", "we'll explain in the car", we jumped into the car, lance sat next to me, his strong scent made my heart flutter, 'mission first', i took a deep breath, "now please, where are the lions?", they explained how they snuck the lions on earth, and how shiro stayed at the garrison to protect it, "so how have you been scar?", i looked up at lance, i started to blush like an idiot, 'thank yato and hestia that i have this mask', "well i was held prisoner, but i think im fine, im kinda hungry, i havent in a week and few days", he looked shocked, "hunk when we get back can you make her some food?", he nodded, when we arrived at the garrison everyone ran to me and hugged me, "were so glad youre ok junior officer scarlet", 

adam walked up to me, "im glad youre ok", i hugged him, "so lets go get your prince charming", adam blushed, "so where can we find shiro?", they looked at me, "whats your name?", my heart stopped, adam looked at them, "its scarlet", i jumped and covered his mouth, their expressions turned sad, "wait, take off the mask", i looked at lance, "promise not to get mad, ok guys?", "promise", i took off my mask, i made sure i wasnt using a disguise, they stared at me, pidge and hunk had tears in their eyes, keith just stood there shocked, lance turned around and left, my heart shattered, keith out of nowhere hugged me, i was shocked, "i", he paused, "i thought you were dead", his voice cracked from trying to hold back the tears, pidge and hunk came into the hug, "im sorry guys, the reason i didnt say anything because i have a mission", they just continued to cry, i hugged them back, "are you mad at me?", "how can we be, were just glad youre ok", i smiled, "thank you", they pulled away from the hug, "you should go talk to lance, heres his room number", he handed me a paper, i nodded and left, i walked to his room, i knocked on his door, "lance?", he opened it, he looked really hurt, his eyes were lifeless, "can i come in please", he blocked the door, i put my hand on his chest and pushed him into the room, i closed the door, i turned on the lights, "sit", he sat down on the bed, "please just let me e-", "i thought you were dead, i couldnt bare the thought of losing you, but it happened", his eyes filled with tears, "you were there the whole time, why did you say anything!?", i hung my head, "i have a mission, so i didnt say anything, my mission always comes first, even if it hurts", he looked at me, he looked betrayed, he started to look angry, "you led us to believe you were dead, then you say this!", he raised his voice, "who the hell are you?", "im the same", "THE HELL YOU ARE!", he paused, "leave", "what?", "GET OUT, LEAVE SCARLET!", i got up and left the room, i walked to my room, i stopped at the door, i felt empty, it was as if i wasnt even alive, i walked into my room, i laid down on the bed, i just laid there staring at the roof, 

i closed my eyes and slept, i woke up to a bright light, keith was trying to pull me out of bed, "come on you need to eat", i stood up, we walked to the kitchen, i sat down in front of a steak that the master chef (hunk) made, the thought of eating made me wanna puke, "hunk can you save this", "why?", "the thought of eating makes me wanna puke", i stood up and left the room, i walked the halls, i felt a hand on my shoulder, adam stood in front of me, "whats wrong scarlet?", "lance", "wanna talk?", i nodded, we walked to a secure room, we sat down, "ok whats wrong?", "lance is mad at me because i 'led them to believe i was dead' iand i told him why i didnt say anything", "and what is your reason?", "my mission always comes first", he nodded, "if he is this mad, that means he cares for you a lot", "how do you know?", "i know, because i did it with takashi, i got mad when he left for kerberos", he frowned, "thats good that you care", he smiled at me, "ill talk to lance about this ok?", i nodded slowly, i frowned, i put my face in my hands, "hey, everything will be ok", i looked up at him, 'god he is like another dad, i love it', i smiled, "thank you", i smiled, i looked back at the wall 

shiro's POV, 

i walked into the break room to see adam, 'adam', my heart skipped a beat, i looked down, i saw a girl with black hair, she seemed familiar, i looked at her face, 'scarlet', i saw there was a ghost of a smile on her face, i walked up to her and put my hand on her shoulder, "scarlet?", she looked up, "youre alive?", she nodded, "how?", she sighed, "ill explain when i have the whole team together because it is a long story", i nodded, "well ill get them together, you have no idea how happy lance is gonna be", her eyes started to water, a sob escaped her lips, "whats wrong?",adam looked at me, "lance yelled at her because he feels like she lied to you guys", i paused, i wanted to know more, "what did he say?", she looked at me, "i went to talk to him, when i tried to explain i said my mission always comes first thats why i never said anything when we were on missions together, then he yelled at me to leave to get out", she started to cry more, out of a dad instinct i hugged her tightly, "its ok ill talk to him!", "i will too", i looked at adam and smiled, he blushed, 'hes just so cute', i looked down to see scarlet smiling at me, out of nowhere she shoved me into adam and left, and blushed cutely as usual

 so im going off the original story from the show, ADAM SHALL LIVE, and shadam will happen because thats my heart!!
