Chapter 112

Shivaay was stuck in a tight spot. It had been fifteen days. 

Fifteen days since Gauri disappeared, fifteen days since he found out that he was right and Annika and Gauri were sisters, fifteen days since he had been looking for Gauri. 

He thought back to that fateful Monday morning, when Om came back home all disappointed....... 

"Om, are you alright?" asked Shivaay. 

Omkara was not at breakfast, and a staff member had informed him that Om had gone out early morning in a rush. 

"Shivaay....I had a fight with Gauri last evening.....and now I can't find her...her house was locked....she didn't show up at work, the proprietor of the shop where she worked said she quit...she isn't picking up her phone....Dandi isn't either....this is...." Om fell to the floor, holding his head in his hands.

"Om" shrieked Shivaay, he was always scared when Omkara was hurt, unsure of what his brother might do.

"Om, don't worry, your brother is here, I will find Gauri. Just relax" consoled Shivaay, and pulled up his brother. 

Shivaay had barely escorted Omkara back to his room, when his phone rang. 

"Shivaay, the results have come. We were right, Gauri is Annika's sister. We have got conclusive DNA test results now" said the doctor who treated Annika, elated that he could prove useful to the Oberoi family in some way, and hoping this would help his practice. 

"Doctor....thank you, but I'll call you later" said Shivaay, as he disconnected the call. He will show his gratitude to the doctor later, right now there was a more pressing problem in his hands. 

Shivaay had hoped to give this news to Annika with a smile lighting up his face, but he was feeling morose. He decided to keep this information to himself, until he found out where Gauri was because he couldn't set up Annika for more disappointment. 

Shivaay sent Khanna and his team to search for Gauri all over Mumbai but there was not trace of her. So, they came to the conclusion that Gauri and her brother must have left the city. Shivaay told his security team to keep at it, search for Gauri all over the state of Maharashtra. 

Meanwhile, Annika confronted Shivaay at night about what he was hiding from her the entire day. His worry and desperation was not hidden from Annika. 

Shivaay confessed the whole thing, and Annika, struck by the double and mixed blow of finding her sister and losing her on the same day, fainted. 

It was the worst start of the week for Shivaay. And the terrible spell continued. 

Fifteen days had passed, as Shivaay reflected over this. Annika had been inconsolable. 

Even Saahil took a leave from his boarding school and came to comfort Annika, and though Annika was glad to see him, her grief didn't reduce one bit. To think that she had finally found her long lost sister, when she was so convinced that she would never see again in her life, and thus, had tried to suppress her memories; was just tragic for Annika. 

If his wife was miserable, his brother was in a delirium. 

When Shivaay revealed to Om, that Gauri is indeed Annika's sister, he quickly called up Gauri's mother, to find out whether Gauri came to Bareilly, but no such luck. 

While Shivaay was disappointed at this news, Omkara wore a strange look of determination. "I will find her, Shivaay, she will come back to me."
